Ningbo's next hidden gem, the secret art museum on Taogong Island

Ningbo's niche art museums are really opening up more and more. I went to one hidden on Taogong Island a few days ago, the Xi Shi Art Museum, and was amazed by its secrecy and spatial design. This new space is the 2.0 version of the Qingyin Painting House in Limin Village of Dongqian Lake, or you could say it's another brand new space by the painter🧑‍🎨 Mr. Wang. As always, it houses a lot of horse🐎 paintings, and at the very end, there's a painter's🧑‍🎨 studio that's not open to the public. I love the several floor-to-ceiling glass windows and the sofa🛋️. Just thinking about lying by the fireplace in winter, reading a book📖, feels very chill. The museum building itself has a lot of stories. On the roof is the statue of Taogong Fan Li, where you can go up to burn incense and pray🙏. The museum's 270-degree space is built along the mountain, and inside, many rough rocks🪨 are preserved, creating a contrast between the hard and the soft with the displayed paintings. The outdoor garden also has layers, facing Dongqian Lake, with Yinwan Village opposite, and you can even see Ningbo Center in the distance. Sitting here watching the sunset and the evening glow would be very nice. Now they have also opened for afternoon tea🫖☕️, and the consumption can offset the scenic area's admission ticket🎫. Unfortunately, I went in the evening when the light was gone. I feel that when there is sunlight☀️ during the day, the light and shadow here would be incredible.
