My journey began at the University of Nottingham, where the historic campus is surrounded by tree-lined walkways, their leaves turning brilliant shades of orange and yellow. The serene Highfields Lake, with reflections of the vibrant foliage, created a peaceful setting perfect for a leisurely stroll. The crisp autumn air and the beauty of the changing season made the university grounds feel like a quiet retreat. Leaving the campus, I headed to the nearby Wollaton Park, home to Wollaton Hall and its famous deer park. The expansive grounds, framed by ancient trees now ablaze with autumn colors, offered a breathtaking contrast to the grand Elizabethan mansion. Watching the deer wander through the golden fields added to the park’s natural charm. The rolling landscape, dotted with leaves, felt like the perfect embodiment of autumn’s beauty, making it an ideal spot for a walk or a picnic amidst nature. From the park, I made my way into Nottingham’s vibrant city centre. The mix of historic buildings and modern shops, set against the backdrop of the season’s changing colors, gave the city an inviting warmth. As I explored the streets and iconic landmarks like the Old Market Square, the festive autumn atmosphere was in full swing. It is a beautifully maintained park and oldest public park. The Arboretum is just located outside Nottingham’s city centre. Easily accessible from the city centre. During summer, you will get to see the flowers bloom beautifully. Over here you will get to see people jogging, walking, running, cycling and more. Is a great place to hang out. Opening Hours: 8am - 4.30pm I want to travel to Hong Kong to enjoy their culture, place and foods.

If you decide going Nottingham one day, you definitely need to go this area. This is lovely and family friendly place to walk, rest, breath, and having picnic. #spooktaculartrip many tram stop signs were changed to spooky titles in accordance with halloween !! it was fun to explore around town to look at the changed and different tram stops, definitely very interesting !! grab a drink at BUNK pub where it serves amazing food like wings and fries and amazing drinks !! the atmosphere is amazing as the shop is decorated with many halloween decorations

the winter wonderland in Nottingham is now opened!!!! unfortunately there is no roller coasters coz it’s pretty small, but there is a wide variety of food and drinks.

Beautiful university! The college complex is really huge, and it has a big lake inside it where there are some swan swimming. Have a visit here though you are not student, perfect for pictures! #happynewyear

From fossils to taxidermy, the exhibits inside are both fascinating and educational, making it a great place for history and science enthusiasts. The deer park is one of the highlights, where herds of red and fallow deer roam freely, providing an enchanting sight. Entry to the park is free, but there’s a small parking fee. The famous Robin Hood was born in Nottingham!! In the 14th century, this legendary figure was said to have robbed the rich to help the poor and to have acted as a knight-errant in the forest of Sherwood Forest, targeting the rich and ungrateful noblemen, and distributing the wealth he had gained to the poor and the needy. Legend has it that Robin Hood and his fellow fought corrupt magistrates around Nottingham Castle. 💰£15 for an all year ticket. No other discounts available. Don't miss: 📍 Robin Hood Statue The Robin Hood statue, located next to the entrance to Nottingham Castle, is a must-see when you're here. With a longbow in hand and a valiant look (like me). 📍First Floor's Museum of Rebellion From the legend of Robin Hood to the formation of the British workers' movement in the 19th century, this small gallery takes in all the various movements that originated in Nottingham in the last thousand years. (The Luddites of the first industrial revolution originated here!) 📍The 2nd floor Gallery is filled with Impressionist paintings by Monet and other famous artists, but the one that impresses me the most is the lace hanging on the wall. This machine-made lace was produced in Nottingham during the first industrial revolution. The last time I saw it, it was on a blanket my mother used to cover the sofa at home ~ 📍 1st floor cafe I super love the two paintings on the walls of the cafe, commissioned by the Castle Museum from an African-American disabled artist, Christopher Samuel, with bold colors, showing the city's defiance from Robin Hood and Luddites to the present day black people, and the disabled rights fighters. The windows overlook Nottingham's cityscape and Robin Hood's ‘Sherwood Forest’ in the distance. Nottingham's rebellious spirit goes far beyond that. Left-wing literati might also note that the caves underneath were once used by workers for secret meetings, and that it was the center of the Black British Movement in the 20th century. #travel #solotrip

Nottingham. I arrived in the evening on the first day and visited the Christmas market. I visited the rest of the places the next day. It took me a little more than a day in total. P1 City Hall. There are no trams in Cambridge, and this was the first time I saw so many trams running back and forth between retro-style buildings in a city. It felt very cyberpunk. P2/3 There are many street art or graffiti like this on the street. I adjusted the saturation of P3 and it felt very magical. It was as if there was still a small corner in the highly industrialized modern world where fantasy and dreams could grow wildly. I forgot where it was, but I remember seeing a lot of them on the way from City Hall to Green's Windmill. P5-8 Christmas market! The churros were delicious 😋, and the sausages were huge and a little cheaper than in Cambridge. The roasted marshmallows in P8 were also good, but my marshmallows were burnt. There was an ice rink, but I didn't go. The Ferris wheel was £8.50 for three laps, and the lights below looked beautiful at night. P9-11 Green's Windmill and Science Centre ❤️. I think it was one of the highlights of my trip to Nottingham! It was a 20-minute walk from where I was staying. I saw a lot of graffiti on the way and stopped by a small church (P13, St Stephen Church, right next to the windmill). The history of the windmill is worth learning about, and the interactive experiments at the science center were really well done and very interesting. It's also a great place to take kids. The gift shop was also a little cheaper than other places, and the chamomile tea was especially delicious (£1.80). And ✨ you can see almost the entire view of Nottingham from the window of the windmill, and the photos are great. You can also see the panoramic view from the castle, but for some reason, you can't capture the depth of field. P13/14 Nottingham Castle. The panoramic view is particularly good (but for some reason, it doesn't look good in photos). The interaction on the B1 and B2 floors of the exhibition hall is also good, and you can learn about the history of Nottingham by playing games. P15-18 Wollaton Hall, Gardens and Deer Park, a famous deer park. I saw deer, but you can't get too close because it's not very safe (but most of the time, they run away when you get close). Overall, it's far from the city center where the attractions are concentrated, but it's worth a visit. Wollaton Hall is one of the natural history museums I've been to with particularly high-quality specimens, which was surprisingly good. Unfortunately, it closes at 4 pm and starts to rush people out at 3:45 pm. I only had about 20 minutes at the time, so I just took a quick look (sad 😢).

It is recommended to be there for brunch, meal or a drink to enjoy the atmosphere. You can get there either by walking from Victoria Bus Station for around 3 minutes, by bus where there are several buses run from the station to the city center or by car where there are several car parks nearby, such as the Lace Market Car Park on Fletcher Gate.

Over there, you will get to see a variety of seasonal flowers, shrubs, and decorative plants. It is preferable to go during spring and summer, then you can witness the gardens full with blooming flowers with different colours. It would be nice to picnic with your beloved one with the beautiful nature and flowers.
