Osaka Castle and Dotonbori

One of the iconic and historical place in Kansai area is Osaka Castle. Osaka castle (大阪城), pronounced as Ōsakajō was built around 1583 for Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the then de-facto ruler of Japan. Osaka Castle is easily accessible from the JR Osakajokoen Station. Ticket price for adult is 600 yen, children below the age of 15 can enter free of charge. Additional ticket for Nishinomaru Garden is 200 yen. The castle park is free of charge. Another iconic area for snacker like me is Dotonbori where we can find the Glicoman big screen and the store selling giant version of various Japanese made Pocky.
