Sailing from Rapallo…to the pastel charm of Portofino

If there was ever a day in Italy that felt like a dream, it was the day we sailed from Rapallo to Portofino, a picture-perfect fishing village. Starting at the port of Rapallo, the boat slowly pulled away with a cool breeze that carried the scent of the Mediterranean Sea. The shore was lined with orange, red and yellow houses, arranged in a neat row like a scene from a movie. After 20-30 minutes at sea, we saw Portofino slowly appear before us, a small town hidden in a bay, surrounded by deep green mountains and a harbor lined with luxury yachts. As soon as our feet touched the ground, we knew why this place is loved by people all over the world. Pastel-colored houses line the bay like a painting, small cafes and boutiques in old but very chic buildings. We walked up to the Castle Brown viewpoint, sweating a little, but what we saw in front of us made us forget about our tiredness: the view of the deep blue sea contrasting with the candy-colored town below… breathtaking. Portofino is not just beautiful But it feels like a luxurious, unhurried calm. We sat at a cafe by the port sipping an espresso, watching people from all over the world walk by, and couldn't help but smile to ourselves that... this kind of good life really does exist. #travelitaly #italy #portofino
