Take this “bucket list” journey on an incredible 600 mile road trip from Fairbanks all the way north as far as you can go over the Brooks range into Prudhoe Bay “Dead Horse” Alaska. This stunning and breathtaking natural scenery is seen throughout the Dalton highway, the only way to get to Prudhoe Bay. You will spot Black Bears, Musk Ox and Reindeer RIGHT ALONG SIDE OF THE ROAD! This exhausting yet rejuvenating journey is over 800 miles by car on dirt roads. Make sure you have a 4 x 4 and do not rent a vehicle for this trip. Hotels are limited but they can be found all the way at the end. You will travel more than 500 miles north of the arctic circle to reach Prudhoe Bay.
