Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom in Queenstown

Visiting Queenstown in spring to see the cherry blossoms is absolutely amazing🌸! The pink sea of flowers by Lake Wakatipu combined with the lake and mountain scenery makes every photo a masterpiece! Here I’m sharing my favorite cherry blossom viewing route and photography tips～ 🌸 Best Cherry Blossom Spots: 1. Queenstown Gardens The cherry trees here are the oldest and bloom the fullest. I recommend going between 7-8 AM when there are fewer people and the light is soft, perfect for photos! Address: 20 Park Street, free admission 2. Lake Wakatipu Walkway The lakeside walkway is lined with cherry trees, perfect for walking and taking photos, and you can even capture the reflection of the snow-capped mountains. I suggest visiting between 4-6 PM for the gentle light. The walkway entrance is near the Queenstown Wharf. 3. TSS Earnslaw Wharf The combination of the vintage steamship, cherry blossoms, and lake view is stunning! Check the steamship schedule in advance to catch shots of the ship arriving at the port. 📷 Photography Tips: · Wear light-colored clothes for better photos · Bring a small ladder or chair to shoot from a low angle and avoid crowds · Prepare some petals as props · Try shooting against the light; the petals will glow! 🍣 Food Recommendations: · Fishbone Bar & Grill: A popular lakeside seafood restaurant with super fresh oysters (39 Beach Street) · Patagonia Chocolates: A trendy ice cream shop with an amazing cherry blossom limited flavor (50 Beach Street) 🚗 Transportation Tips: · Queenstown is small, and you can walk to all the main cherry blossom spots · If you want to catch the sunrise, taking a taxi (Uber is very convenient) is recommended · It’s windy by the lake, so remember to bring a jacket
