The Monument to the Revolutionary Action

The Monument to the Revolutionary Action by Marian Konieczny, erected in 1974, is also called the Monument to the Revolutionary Struggle. It is devoted to the fights for freedom fought in the Rzeszów region in the 1930s. Two stylized laurel leaves composed of 37 pairs of elements with a total height of about 38 meters are placed on the reinforced concrete foundation. Two sculptures made of copper sheet were attached to them at a height of about 8 meters. One shows "Nike", the goddess of victory, and the other from the side of the Provincial Office building - a worker, peasant and soldier. A dozen or so years later, two shields with the coat of arms of Rzeszów in the form of a knight's cross were installed on the monument. #rzeszow #poland #monument
