#VisitFukuoka Nanzoin Temple in Fukuoka is a must-see. It houses the world's largest bronze reclining Buddha (almost 41 meters long) amidst a lush, shady atmosphere. It's perfect for strolling, making merit, and enjoying the tranquility. 🐱 Another lovely feature are the small stone cat statues hidden in various corners, seemingly welcoming visitors (cats are considered auspicious in Japanese beliefs). ⛩️ The temple entrance, with its prominent red torii gates nestled amidst lush greenery, is another must-see. 👕 Dress code: Dress appropriately, including sleeveless shirts and long pants or skirts, as if you're visiting a Thai temple. If you don't want to dress up, don't worry; they provide cloths (rental fees apply). 👟 Comfortable shoes are recommended, as there are some stairs to climb up and down. Elderly people may have difficulty walking.) 🕰️ The temple is open daily from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We recommend going early in the morning to avoid the heat and avoid crowds. 🚊 Access: Take the JR Sasaguri Line from Hakata Station and get off at Kido-Nanzoin-mae Station (30 minutes). Then, it's a 3-5 minute walk. 🎶 There's a little gimmick along the way from the station to the temple: there's a musical bridge where you can tap to play music as you cross it.
