Sevan

Lake Sevan is just over an hour's drive from Yerevan. You can get there by bus, but if you want to get to Sevanavank (an ancient mountaintop monastery that I highly recommend visiting), you'll need to take a taxi—trust me, you won't have any problems with that. It's very windy at the top near the monastery, so protect your ears from the wind. You can buy candles in the monastery, so don't bother buying them at the foot. The view of Sevan from the top is incredible, and you'll never want to go back down! If you have any energy left, I recommend walking (or taking a taxi—there will be plenty of people offering rides) to Café Collette and trying the local whitefish in all its variations—marinated, fried, boiled—you'll definitely be satisfied with such a lunch. 👌🏽#Armenia #Sevan #Sevanavank
