The entire stay experience is very good, the butler is friendly but not overly attentive, and everything about this hotel is just right. Recommended rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 🏨 The hotel is located next to the Chongming Dongping National Forest, surrounded by many farmhouses, making dining and entertainment very convenient. The hotel itself is a scenic spot, with a Japanese garden style that offers a view at every step, and a few leisurely cats running around. 👨 The butler will call in advance to confirm the details of your stay, and when checking in, will introduce the hotel services and facilities in detail, provide disposable toothbrushes, and thoughtfully help carry luggage to the room, lifting it over uneven ground rather than dragging it to avoid damaging the wheels. The annex building is newer than the main building, with a scripture copying room and a gym, which includes a small amount of children's Lego. Extra care should be taken when children are playing, as the fitness equipment is in the same room, and treadmills can be dangerous for children. 🪜 My room was on the third floor of the annex building; the hotel does not have an elevator, so those who have difficulty with stairs should contact the hotel in advance to request a lower floor. The main courtyard's grill roasts foods like blood corn and sweet potatoes daily, and the butler will notify you via WeChat once they're ready. 🪟 Although it's a homestay, the soundproofing is very good, and the curtains block out all light, making for a very comfortable sleep in a quiet, dark environment. 🛏️ The room layout is all in Japanese style, and extra beds can be added in the living room of the tatami rooms. The toiletries all match the hotel's style and use Japanese brands, and instead of following trends with a Dyson hairdryer, even the kettle is made in Japan. The washroom and bathroom are separated at opposite ends of the room, not interfering with simultaneous use. The bathroom is equipped with a small chair, convenient for bathing children. 🥣 Breakfast can be eaten in the public area of the lobby or can be delivered to the room at a scheduled time with the butler. There is a wide variety of dishes packed in Japanese-style boxes, and although each portion is not large, the variety is plentiful, making it hard for one person to finish. The food and drinks in the room's fridge are free, including beer. ⚠️ Be sure to confirm the number of diners with the butler the day before, as the hotel prepares breakfast based on the number of guests and does not have extra backups. There will be a children's meal for kids. 🎠 There are not many parent-child experiences in the hotel, but it is not positioned as a family hotel, yet children can still run around the rooms without shoes and have a great time. 🌄 I checked in at dusk and enjoyed a beautiful sunset from the window sill. After nightfall, you can see the stars, and although it's not as impressive as the night sky over the grasslands and deserts, it's definitely better than the city view.
