How to Enjoy Shanghai Qingxi Country Park: A Spring Guide

Shanghai Qingxi Country Park is a country park with a wetland theme. It is especially beautiful in spring and summer. Transportation Guide • Public transportation: Take Metro Line 17 to Dongfang Lvzhou Station, then transfer to Jinze Bus 7 to Qingxi Country Park Station. • Self-driving: From downtown Shanghai, take the Huyu Expressway (G50) to the Xicen exit, then take Lianxi Highway to the park. The park has several parking lots along Lianxi Highway, with nearly 500 parking spaces. Opening Hours • The park is free to enter. Tickets for the ecological conservation area are free with an ID card. The area is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Recommended Routes • Wetland Experience Tour (approx. 2–3 hours): Visit the Water Forest, Water Wetland, Cedar Heron Shadow, Wetland Bay, Peach Blossom Ferry, Reed Snow Maze, and Jinkoumen Port. • Lake Leisure Tour (approx. 3–4 hours): Visit the Great Lotus Lake, Purple Lotus Corridor Bridge, Qingpu Water Town Culture Museum, and Waterfront Trail. Highlights • Water Forest: A major feature of the park, where you can see the reflection of pond cypress trees in the water and experience the wetland ecology. • Great Lotus Lake: Famous for its lotus flowers, summer is the best time to see them. • Ecological Conservation Area: Free tickets are required for entry. The area is home to a variety of aquatic plants and birds. Other Notes • Dining: There are few dining facilities in the park.
