How to get there? 】 I bought the JR Pass five-day ticket for the Takayama Hokuriku area, so I chose the JR Express + Nohi Bus, using the JR Pass for the entire trip without spending a penny. 1️⃣Nagoya➡️Takayama: JR Tokaido Main Line, the whole journey takes more than 2 hours. Unlimited rides on JR trains, Nohi buses and the Hokuriku Shinkansen are valid for five days and are a real bargain. When traveling in Japan, transportation is really a big expense, so it is very cost-effective to buy a JR Pass. This JR Pass covers the JR, Hokuriku Shinkansen and express trains in the Takayama Hokuriku area, and you can also take the Nohi bus to Shirakawa-go.
