1 night @ Peninsula Excelsior is LIT 🔥

Since my teenage days, i have always wondered how this hotel would look and feel like to stay in as i would normally just shop around the area for my stuff and all with my bunch of friends. 20 years on, here i am with my family in this very hotel for the 1st time relishing my curiosity nostalgiality. Much has changed around the area but the hotel and the building itself feels like how i remembered it. Upon arrival at the concierge, staff was smiley and estatic to welcome and usher us to the lift to check in at the lobby. After exiting the lift, i was astounded by how huge the lobby and spacious it is. Check in was flawless and manage to get an upgrade due to kindness of the staff. There was a welcome drinkstation which is refreshing. Room was at high floor which magnificent view. Toilet was small but most importantly, there's bathtub as the kiddos love it..!!! Everything in the room is quite basic and dated but its clean and cosy. Basically, there were plenty of activities to do around here but since we were here for 1 night, hence we decided to engage on certain activities for the kids. We went to National Gallery Singapore which is just across the road to engage on the exhibits, activities and stuff which is hugely entertaining for people of all ages. That alone takes up the whole of the afternoon until closing time. In the evening,it rained and its mall hopping time as there were plenty of malls around all connected underground. The next early morning we went to a nearby fire station as it was opened to public for free to see the vehicles, firemen, demontranstions and all. It was super awesome...!!! Afterwhich, we had our breakfast and relax in hotel and checkout soon after. Upon checkout, we left our luggage bag at the concierge as we explored more around the area. We bought tickets at a nearby mall to hop on the Open Top Bus and took Duck Tour Rides as well. Overall, it was an enjoyable and fantastic stay for us. Wished we could have stayed longer.
