Suzhou Moat City Walk

Walk at your leisure, rest when tired, enjoy the lake breeze, and chat with friends. ①Panmen Gate was part of the ancient city of Suzhou, built by Wu Zixu under the order of King Helü of Wu in the sixth year of King Jing of Zhou (514 BCE). It was one of the eight gates of the Wu capital. The current Panmen Gate was rebuilt during the Yuan Dynasty and is the only completely preserved ancient city gate with both water and land passages. 2 Xumen Gate was one of the ancient city gates built during the Spring and Autumn Period by the State of Wu. The existing gate was rebuilt during the Yuan Dynasty (1351) and renovated during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The open space in front of the ancient city wall is perfect for taking photos.
