Wat Mai Ngam Luang was built as a temple around 2310. The villagers like to call it Wat Tai. The people of Ban Mai Ngam joined hands to build this temple. In the past, there was a large Bodhi tree with beautiful branches in front of the temple, so it was called Ban Mai Ngam. Later, it was called the temple.
