Tengchong Warm Winter | Check in at Wild Boar Qiaoqiao, appreciate the charm of the ancient gallery bridge

It is the crossing of the Gaoligong Ancient Post Road on the Tea Horse Ancient Road. The inscription on the bridge head is blurred, giving a sense of historical vicissitudes, and the scenery by the river under the bridge is beautiful. The ancient bridge is 40.65 meters long, with a clear span of 28 meters, an arch height of 12 meters, a bridge width of 3.3 meters, and the entire bridge, except for the stone piers on both banks, is made of paulownia wood, making it the most representative wooden ancient gallery bridge in Tengchong. According to historical records, Chengde Bridge was built in the Ming Dynasty, originally a rattan bridge, later repaired as an iron chain bridge, burned down due to war, and rebuilt by local villagers in the early Qing Dynasty, becoming what it is now. It was named "Chengde Bridge" with the intention of accomplishing the merit of benefiting the people. The entire ancient bridge is made of the most corrosion-resistant Jiu wood tree in the local area. Through the lever principle, the bridge is stacked and fixed on the stone piers on both banks in the shape of round wood, with step-by-step support, iron chain pulling, and the bridge gallery uses mortise and tenon structure. A specially built thickened anti-skid walkway for horse teams and livestock to pass through, and the wooden strips on both sides of the bridge surface not only strengthen the stability of the bridge gallery structure, but also provide a convenient place for pedestrians to rest.
