Tokyo Hotel | The Okura Tokyo

As a longstanding luxury hotel located in the embassy district (right across from the U.S. Embassy) and adjacent to the newly opened Azabudai Hills, the surroundings are tranquil and elegant with minimal pedestrian and vehicle traffic. The hotel boasts its own Okura Museum of Art at the entrance, featuring a beautiful mint-green roof. Although there was an exhibition during my stay, I missed the chance to visit due to my tight schedule. During my stay, I witnessed a wedding ceremony in the lobby, where many female guests in kimonos and male guests in tailcoats gathered quietly. I stayed in the Heritage Wing, which is slightly shorter and more traditionally Japanese in style. The room's bathroom included a private sauna (which I didn't get to try). Every morning on my way to breakfast, I passed through the stunning lobby of the Prestige Wing—so beautiful that I often lingered longer than intended. The breakfast selection was modest and not as delicious as expected, though most business guests seemed unfazed, content with just coffee and toast. Vacationing foreign children, however, were solely focused on the hash browns and scrambled eggs. Regardless, the lobby alone is breathtaking enough to captivate anyone. It was common to see guests sitting there, gazing upward in admiration before quietly pulling out their phones to snap a photo.
