At the end of March, I took a short trip to Tokyo, Japan. It was the season when cherry blossoms were just starting to bloom, and the city was full of life. The unique charm of each place I visited left a lasting impression. 🗻 Fujiyoshida Honcho 2-chome, a street with a view of Mount Fuji The sight of Mount Fuji towering majestically behind the quiet shopping street was truly remarkable. Thanks to the clear weather, the mountain was vividly visible, and the scenery, combined with the everyday life of the street, was enough to feel the essence of Japan. 📸 Mount Fuji as seen from Honcho Street 🌸 teamLab Planets — An immersive space like walking through flowers As soon as I entered the exhibition hall, I was greeted by a fantastical world of flowers. The infinite garden of flowers reflected on the mirrored floor was so overwhelming that it couldn't be fully captured in photos. The harmony of flowers and light made me lose track of time in this place. 📸 A moment where I felt one with the flowers 🌃 Roppongi Hills Observatory — Tokyo's lights adorning the night sky As the sun set, I gazed at Tokyo's night view from above. The densely packed buildings, endless lights, and the quiet yet striking presence of Tokyo Tower made for an unforgettable moment. Tokyo's night needs no words. 📸 Tokyo's night as seen through the glass window 🌆 Shinjuku Kabukicho — The neon heart of Tokyo A street filled with neon signs, lively crowds, and an exotic atmosphere. Kabukicho was even more captivating at night than during the day. Standing in front of buildings adorned with signs like GG Poker and SHISHA BAR, I could feel Tokyo's energy with my whole being. 📸 The dazzling lights in the heart of Shinjuku 🥩 Ribera Steakhouse — A sanctuary for pro wrestlers Located in Meguro, Tokyo, Ribera Steakhouse is adorned with photos and autographs of wrestlers on its walls, and serves thick, juicy steaks. When I stay in the city, I usually don't order breakfast. I prefer to wake up early and explore the alleyways for the most authentic flavors. Although it's a chain, I've heard there are over ten locations in Shinjuku. 😳 Each location has a slightly different size and atmosphere, but the most important thing is that the food is delicious. 😋 💫 The restaurant is spacious, with a strict separation between non-smoking and smoking areas. It has a nostalgic feel, but the staff are also friendly and helpful with taking photos. "Morning Breakfast / S Set / Iced Coffee / 1,100 yen" 💫 I chose the most luxurious sandwich: it came with teriyaki chicken, cheese, potato salad, tomato, and lettuce. It was a generous portion with a perfect balance of meat and vegetables, and I devoured it instantly. The yogurt was drizzled with rich blueberry sauce and served with a bowl of hot clear soup. I just couldn't understand why! 💫The ham and egg toast combo with coffee for 150 yen is a great deal. The sandwich was perfectly toasted, and even though it's just a thin slice of ham, it has just the right amount of aroma and saltiness. Nakameguro, Tokyo's chicest district, offers a relaxing stroll along the Meguro River, adorned with cherry blossoms on both banks. It's especially beautiful in spring, but still enjoyable year-round. Along the route, you'll find charming cafes, boutiques, and restaurants, including the beautiful Starbucks Reserve Roastery, located right on the river. Under the train tracks, you'll find Nakameguro Koukashita, filled with chic little shops and art galleries. The narrow alleys along the riverside offer shops selling clothing, bags, and handmade design goods. Beyond the chic shops, you'll also find Nakameguro Park, a place to relax. - Ueno Park: This is another type of cherry blossom. Its vibrant colors bloom faster than the pale pink variety, but it's incredibly popular with tourists. It's so beautiful you can't resist taking photos. The park also offers a place to stroll, a cafe, and a market. Admission is free. - In front of Ueno Park, or behind the Ueno shopping area, it's right on the main road. This is a popular spot for tourists, especially since it's one of the first trees to bloom in Tokyo. The trees are large and in full bloom, and the flowers are plentiful. It's truly beautiful, just as the crowds flock to admire its beauty. - In front of the Shitamachi Museum, it's not far from the second location. Just cross the street to the right and head straight until you reach the lake. This is like a hidden gem. It's not crowded, but it's incredibly beautiful. The cherry blossoms bloom right in front of the lake. If you're looking for a new spot, I highly recommend it. 📍 We traveled by renting a car from Tokyo, and it took about an hour and a half to get to Fuji. I highly recommend it! It's absolutely worth it! The picture is from late March. ✨ If you're visiting Fuji, don't miss this lake. We were lucky enough to arrive at the end of March, but there was still snow. The weather is very unpredictable in 2025. 🪿 Lake Yamanaka's signature sight is the geese. You'll definitely see them when you come. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the views along the way are stunning. I'm not sure about public transportation, but I recommend renting a car. It's absolutely worth it. Based on the Tanabata legend of Orihime and Hikoboshi, countless LED light bulbs are likened to the "countless stars" twinkling in the night sky and the gently flowing "Milky Way," and occasionally, powerful "shooting stars" appear, creating a sky full of stars. This year, the lights will be on every day from June 12th (Thursday) to September 23rd (Tuesday, national holiday), providing a cool, dazzling summer atmosphere.
