Ancient vines hang on both sides of the old bridge, which is ancient and tranquil. After the rain, the sound of water under the bridge is loud, combining motion and stillness, simple and natural. At both ends of the Anlan Bridge, there are two 500-year-old ancient camphor trees, towering and lush. The temple, ancient bridge, and old trees complement each other, and I like this simple and natural picture. Huanxi Village is located two kilometers southeast of Tonglu's Shenaogu ancient village, and the two ancient villages are very close, which is convenient for touring together. Huanxi Village is surrounded by water on three sides and backed by mountains. The clear Tianziyuan and Qingyuan streams converge at the entrance of the village, which is how the village got its name. Huanxi Village was the gathering place for the descendants of Zhou Dunyi, the founder of Song Dynasty Neo-Confucianism. The Zhou family has a deep scholarly tradition, following the family motto 'Revere literature and aspire to virtue, study to understand the principles.' Generations of local sages and distinguished people have emerged, earning the village the reputation of 'Lotus Huanxi, a beautiful and elegant village.' Anlan Bridge: Built in the 21st year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1682) and rebuilt in the 17th year of the Guangxu reign (1891), the large-span stone bridge has withstood the test of years of wind and rain and stands tall. The villagers named it after the homophonic 'safe and sound.' The ancient camphor trees at the bridgehead have branches and leaves like clouds, the bridge top has green stone bas-reliefs of auspicious patterns, the bridge body is entwined with ancient vines, and the bottom is inlaid with pebbles, with the water babbling underneath.
