The town hall and castle are connected to the Cathedral of Santa María by a viaduct, forming one of the finest Gothic architectural complexes in Teruel.

Walking tour in the Spanish Central Plateau ~ Teruel (region) Valderrobres is the most outstanding town in Matarraña. The entrance is on the medieval bridge of San Roque, supported by pointed arches. Its urban layout consists of narrow, winding little streets that go up the hillside to find two of its most representative buildings: the castle, built in the 14th century (without a doubt the most spectacular and artistic of all the castles in the province), and the church of Santa María Mayor, built in the 16th century, declared a Historic-Artistic Heritage, whose tower is connected to the castle by a passage. The church is a fine example of Teruel's Gothic style, with a magnificent rose window adorning its facade. There are also many civic buildings worth mentioning: the Porta San Roque or Lion Gate (14th century); the Porta Bergos (13th-14th century), which has a house on top of it; or the Town Hall (16th century), a Renaissance building with a huge Aragonese semicircular gallery of arches, declared a National Monument. #AprilGoodDestinations2025
