The west-facing main entrance is in Roman style, the spire is Gothic, and the altar is Baroque style. As it was a Sunday, the interior was not open to visitors, so I could only take a few photos from a distance after entering the door. St. Stephen's Cathedral is the most important Gothic building in Austria and one of the iconic buildings in Vienna. Located in the city center of Vienna, St. Stephen's Cathedral is one of the tallest Gothic buildings in Europe and has a strong local color of Eastern European churches. St. Stephen's Cathedral began construction in 1304 and took two centuries to complete, making it a classic of architectural art in the century. Like all the churches left over from European history, St. Stephen's Cathedral has suffered numerous disasters and undergone several reconstructions. After World War II, Austria was devastated, but the work of rebuilding their homeland began immediately. St. Stephen's Cathedral became a symbol of the Austrian people's determination to rebuild. The cathedral's architecture is vast and exquisite, with two rows of Gothic columns dividing the nave into three parts. Looking out, the colorful rays of light shining through the stained glass windows behind the altar add a touch of mystery to the Baroque-style altar.
