Vladivostok Submarine C-56 Museum Guide!

Vladivostok is the largest port city on the Russian Pacific coast, the scientific center of the Russian Far East, the base of the Russian Pacific Fleet, and the largest city and economic and cultural center in the Russian Far East. Visiting here, museums are definitely not to be missed. The most famous is undoubtedly the Submarine C-56 Museum! This submarine was a distinguished submarine during World War II, sinking 10 enemy ships and severely damaging 4 during the war. Museum ticket price: 100 rubles/person Opening hours: 9:00-20:00 The Submarine C-56 Museum is located in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, with the Russian Pacific Fleet Command building behind it, and it is of great historical significance. The submarine is divided into two main parts, the front half of which has been converted into the appearance of a museum. In the narrow space, you will see glass display cases lining the walls of the cabin, filled with photos, pictures, and textual materials, as well as various badges and photos of people wearing badges, etc. The back half of the museum consists of various machinery, equipment, objects, rest cabins, etc., with really limited space, almost in its original state. Therefore, once you enter the museum, you cannot go back the same way.

Vladivostok is a city in the Russian Far East. It gets really cold in winter so I recommend to plan your trip to Vladivostok from May till September. ✈️ Getting There - Vladivostok is located near Japan, China and Korea so pretty much the only way to get there is by plane. Vladivostok has an airport express train that will take you straight to Vladivostok’s city center, another perk is that the train passes by great sceneries. 🎠 Attractions - My favorite place to visit in Vladivostok is the aquarium on the Russian island, it has a lot of interesting fish and animals in there and the area outside the aquarium is just wonderful, it is right by the seaside. Another great place to visit is the Tokarevski Lighthouse. When the tide is low, the shallow path appears which you can use to walk to the lighthouse. You can walk along the seaside and the riverside, rent a longboard or a bicycle 🚲 at Naberezhnaya Tsesarevicha. You can visit Vladivostok’s surf camp and learn surfing or just rent a standup paddle. You can visit Russian theater and absorb local culture. 🥞 Food & Restaurants - Russian food is amazing, there are a lot of great restaurants with good service. Don’t forget it is in the culture to tip the waiter 15-20% in Russia. Start with having Russian pancakes for breakfast, they are called Blini, they are often served with condensed milk or they are stuffed with cottage cheese, potatoes, meat, cabbage. The next dish to try is Sirniki, it’s some sort of pancakes made of cottage cheese often served with sour cream. There are a lot of dinner dishes in Russia, it would take me dozens of pages to name them all, just prepare your stomach to eat a lot in Russia because it’s just so good 😍😍😍 Enjoy your trip to Russia and don’t freeze if you decide to go in Winter ❄️ #russia #vladivostok #travel #vacation #citytour #travelling #holidays #food #city #citycenter #island #passionpassport
