For the New Year, I chose Weihai. The bullet train from Shanghai to Weihai took 7 and a half hours. I stayed at the Korean Music Square, which is close to Weihai Station. There is a night market downstairs, but many shops are closed for the New Year. The next day, I went to several popular check-in spots. It takes about 45 minutes to drive from the city to Rongcheng. I suggest chartering a car. There are not many swans in Swan Lake. There are flocks of seagulls by the sea near the Bruce wreck, but the surrounding environment is rather chaotic. If you follow the coastal road in the city, you will find the Big Frame, the Gate of Happiness, and the Torch Eight Street. The wind is strong near the Cat Head Mountain by the sea, so it's recommended to wear a hat. 2-3 days are enough to have fun.
