Whitstable: A day trip to the seaside oyster town

Whitstable is a fairly quiet town. There are no noisy roadside markets or joyful amusement parks. It is only lively because of the crowds at the port. The port is actually quite small, but there are many seafood stalls to choose from, as well as a small art market. You can also buy boat tickets for a boat trip, or buy crab catching tools and go crabbing near the port. There are more kayaks and sails near the harbor. Later I learned that next to the port is England’s oldest and largest yacht club (Whitstable Yacht Club), which is why there are so many sea activity enthusiasts. Stroll and chat along the beach, enjoying the beautiful view of the blue sea and sky. Along the way, you can see many tourists sunbathing and swimming at the beach. There are even beach huts (Tankerton beach huts) available for rent.
