The First Yangtze River Bridge

The Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge is the first large bridge built on the 'natural moat' of the Yangtze River after the founding of New China. It is also the first large bridge on the Yangtze River in ancient and modern times. It is the first double-track railway bridge in China. After many years of wind and rain, it is still as solid as ever, lying proudly. The bridge starts from Chuqin Interchange in the west, crosses the Yangtze River waterway, and ends at Zhongshan Road in the east. The total length of the route is 1670.4 meters, the main bridge is 1155.5 meters long. The upper deck is a two-way four-lane city main road with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour, and the lower deck is a double-track railway with a design speed of 160 kilometers per hour. It is not only a beautiful scenery on the Yangtze River, but also a historical monument, leaving an indelible impression in the lives of the people in the river city.
