The Pilgrimage to the Four Girls Mountain

They say, in Tibetan Buddhism, the meaning of the prayer flags is that whenever people go on a long journey, or make a pilgrimage to the mountain top, they will string a rope full of prayer flags at the recess of the mountainside. On each flag, they write the Tibetan words 'Tashi Delek', meaning 'may your journey be auspicious'. Whenever the wind flutters the flags, it is considered as chanting the scriptures, blessing the journey. They say, the road to Shu is hard, harder than climbing to the sky. This road named after the panda, with visibility less than 15 meters, is full of steep slopes, sharp turns, falling rocks, landslides, suspended roadbeds, one side a sheer cliff, the other a deep chasm. I forget why I came here, I forget what motives or qualifications I had to press the shutter, I forget the dizziness, nausea, and altitude sickness that made me sick, I forget to breathe, forget my heartbeat, I only know, for the mist that touches my skin, for the clear glaciers, for the mirror of the sky, for the Four Girls Mountain, for myself coming here, tears are always streaming down my face.
