The scenic corridor between the mountains and the lake - Qionghai Plank Road

Half of the trip around Qionghai has been completed. I have introduced one by one the pearl-like scenic spots, but the beauty of Qionghai is far more than this. What connects these scenic spots is the perfect greenway system of Qionghai, a sightseeing corridor around Qionghai that combines sightseeing cars, bicycles, and walking. Among them, the wooden lakeside plank road on the east bank of Qionghai is the most beautiful, and it can be called the scenic corridor between the mountains and the lake. The east bank of Qionghai is no longer a flat wetland park. The mountains and the lake on the lakeshore have intimate contact here. In many places, the mountains go directly into the lake, which makes the east bank of Qionghai no longer have flat land to build a walkway. Therefore, people have built a wooden plank road here, forming a long wooden bridge, connecting the scenic spots on the east bank of Qionghai. If the scenic spots of Qionghai are like pearls, and the scenic walkway is like a thread connecting these pearls into a necklace, then the east bank of Qionghai is the most impressive place. From the Moon Bay in the north of the east bank to the Qionghai Bay in the south of the east bank, the wooden plank road almost floats on the lake all the way. Riding on it is like flying on the lake surface. On one side is the mountain cliff, on the other side is the vast green waves, the head is the bright sun of Xichang, and the face is the strands of breeze. Unlike the scenery in many places in western Sichuan where the eyes are in heaven and the body is in hell, the cycling in Xichang Qionghai can be described as the ultimate enjoyment of both the body and the eyes in heaven. The wooden plank road has nine bends and eighteen turns. Behind each bend, there may be incredible beauty, which makes this part of the journey more attractive. Constantly stopping to appreciate and take pictures has become an indispensable experience of this journey.
