The beauty of Ta'er Monastery

🌁 Located in Huangzhong District, Xining City, Qinghai Province, Ta'er Monastery is one of the six major monasteries of the Gelug School (Yellow Sect) of Tibetan Buddhism in China. It was founded by Master Tsongkhapa in 1379. The monastery's architecture blends Han and Tibetan styles, with main buildings including the Great Golden Tile Hall, the Small Golden Tile Hall, and the Great Scripture Hall. The Great Golden Tile Hall houses the silver stupa of Master Tsongkhapa. Ta'er Monastery is not only a religious shrine but also an important cultural and artistic center, renowned for its "Three Artistic Wonders" - butter sculptures, murals, and appliqué thangkas.
