The Lotus Bridge in Slender West Lake of Yangzhou

The Lotus Bridge in Slender West Lake, also known as the Wuting Bridge, is located on the Slender West Lake in the scenic area of Yangzhou's Slender West Lake, spanning the north and south banks of the lake. It is one of the most distinctive and iconic structures in Yangzhou's Slender West Lake. The bridge was originally built in the 22nd year of the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty, consisting of bluestone bridge piers and five pavilions. The pavilions overlooking the bridge resemble lotus flowers, hence the name Lotus Bridge. The Lotus Bridge blends architectural styles from both the north and south of China, being both graceful and light yet solid and substantial, and is acclaimed as the most beautiful bridge in China.
