It's not that I can't afford to go to Korea, but Yanji is more cost-effective

I was super lucky this time when I came to Yanji because it started snowing as soon as I arrived! I originally planned to take photos of the North Korean princesses, but I found that there were so many delicious foods in Yanji that I started showing off like crazy😋 🚗Transportation: 1. To get to Yanji from Guangzhou, it's more cost-effective to fly to Changchun and then take a high-speed train to Yanji West. The transfer from Changchun to the high-speed train is also very convenient. 2. Yanji is relatively small, so it's very convenient to take a taxi and it won't be very expensive. 🏠Accommodation: I recommend staying near Yanbian University or the West Market. I stayed at a homestay opposite the West Market, which was convenient for getting anywhere🤗 📝Itinerary: Day1 I arrived around dinner time, so I immediately went to Wanxingjia BBQ after dropping off my luggage. The meat was all very delicious, and I fell in love with the spicy crab sauce right away. It tasted like jelly! I thought the cold noodles were just average, not as good as I expected🥲 This place also offers floor seating, which I, as a southerner, couldn't resist. Day2: 1⃣️For breakfast, I ordered takeout from Xing Dou Rice Shop. Their specialty is bean cold noodles (highly recommended👍🏻), which are icy cold with a sesame sauce base; their zhajiang noodles are also very delicious! 2⃣️In the afternoon, I went to the homestay garden for a photo shoot. I personally think that if you're not going to the homestay garden for photos and you're short on time, you can skip it, because the garden is mostly filled with princesses and photographers, with very few modern people around🤣 3⃣️For dinner, I chose Heba BBQ Skewer City. Everything was very fragrant overall, and what left the deepest impression on me was their cold mixed beef tendon, which was so good that I couldn't stop eating. The grilled sweet potatoes were also delicious. I heard from a local driver that you should pair BBQ skewers with warm noodles, but I personally think the warm noodles are quite ordinary, so you can order them or not (this place is quite heaty, and both my friend and I had sore throats after eating there). 4⃣️After dinner, I walked to Yanbian University to take some photos and check in. The internet-famous wall really makes for great photos. You can also buy candied haws as props, which are also super delicious and have a completely different texture from those in the south🤣 They have an icy, slushy texture, and I personally think the strawberry ones are the best! 5⃣️For late-night snacks, I ordered from Shidai Fried Chicken and Yanjia Meimei. The soy sauce-flavored fried chicken was unanimously praised by my friends. At Yanjia Meimei, I chose the milkshake, and the mango milkshake was delicious, while the strawberry one was a bit sweet. Day3: In the morning, I went to the West Market to get a feel for it. There were so many delicious foods that I couldn't eat them all, and you can also mail them home on the spot. Remember to taste them before mailing, because each shop's flavors will be slightly different. This trip to Yanji was quite rushed, but I was still very satisfied because I got to eat everything I wanted to! The flavors in Yanji are sweet and spicy, and the people of Yanji are also super warm. Remember to bring a 1T stomach when you come to Yanji and show off!
