Like a kid in a toy sourcing wonderland!

I came to 📍Yiwu on a business trip specifically to source toys, and District 1 of the International Trade Centre was exactly where I needed to be. The variety here is insane, thousands of stalls selling everything from plush toys, educational sets, to the latest trendy gadgets for kids. It’s super overwhelming at first, but once you get into the rhythm, it becomes a buyer’s paradise. Most vendors are friendly and experienced with overseas orders, and many can speak basic English or use translation apps. The place is well-organized by category, and there are signs to guide you around, but it still takes hours to cover just one floor. Wear comfy shoes, because this place is huge. I was really glad I came prepared with a shopping list and WeChat to save contact info and photos. There are also several cafes and rest areas in the building, which are much needed after walking nonstop. Outside food options are limited, but delivery is easy and most restaurants deliver straight to the entrance or even inside. Overall, District 1 is a must-visit if you’re in the toy business. Just be ready for information overload but that’s part of the Yiwu experience!
