A lively street food paradise in Yiwu (But watch your step! 😭)

During my business trip to Yiwu, I made time to explore Qingkou Night Market, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my stay. The atmosphere is absolutely buzzing! Bright lights, sizzling grills, packed crowds, and a real sense of local life. The market is divided into a general merchandise section and a food area, which features about 70 stalls serving up everything from Changsha stinky tofu to grilled crayfish, beef soup, and takoyaki. It’s like a mini food tour of China all in one place. That said, there are a few things to be prepared for: 🚨🚧 The public toilet is extremely dirty, so I highly recommend using the restroom at your hotel before heading over. 🚨🚧 The floor gets messy, especially in the food zone, skewer sticks, paper, and oil are everywhere. I actually almost slipped on a skewer stick while walking, so do be careful, especially if you're wearing sandals or heels. Crowds really pick up around 8pm, and while that adds to the energy, it also makes the place feel a bit chaotic. Vendors are even livestreaming as they cook, it's a whole show. Still, despite the mess, the night market vibe is strong, and it’s worth visiting just to soak in the local culture and enjoy some good eats. ✨ Final Thoughts ✨: If you’re in Yiwu and want to experience the real street food scene, Qingkou Night Market is a must-see. Just wear comfortable shoes, watch your step, and hit the restroom before you go!
