It was the only tour I signed up for during my journey. 📍Featherdale Wildlife Park + Blue Mountains Night Tour - This tour offers two options (morning departure, afternoon departure). Each has its pros and cons: the morning option lets you see lively animals and enjoy free time at night, while the afternoon option gives you free time in the morning and, although the animals are mostly asleep, you get to experience the sunset and starry night at Lincoln's Rock. Here’s my review of the afternoon tour: 1. Featherdale Wildlife Park By the time we visited, the animals had already been fed by the morning visitors and were mostly asleep. I was really looking forward to seeing koalas, but all I got was a view of their backsides. Featherdale Wildlife Park is accessible via public transport from Sydney city, so if I visit Sydney again, I’ll go in the morning to see plenty of adorable koalas. (When booking the tour, you can choose an option to visit the park on your own and then join the Blue Mountains tour.) 2. Blue Mountains: Echo Point The Three Sisters viewpoint varies depending on the tour, but we were given only 20 minutes of free time. It felt rushed, and I realized package tours might not be my thing. The scenery was stunning, but we barely had time to snap photos before moving on. 3. Blue Mountains: Lincoln's Rock Since BLACKPINK’s Jennie visited, this cliff has become even more popular for photos. I joined this tour specifically to take pictures here, so it was a success! It's an absolute paradise for animal lovers! 🌿 Park Environment: Close Encounters with Wildlife The park is like a large natural ecological farm, eschewing grandiose attractions and instead known for its "small but exquisite, highly interactive" environment. Upon entering, you'll find various kangaroos and wallabies roaming freely on the trails. You can buy a bag of feed for about AUD 5 and experience the warmth of them licking your hand. The park is entirely focused on native Australian species; besides the kangaroos roaming freely, you can also see echidnas, wombats, little blue penguins, and more. The park's compact design allows you to see all the animals without getting too tired from walking. 🚗 Transportation Guide: Suburban but Well-Organized The park is located in Doonside, in western Sydney. · By car: Approximately 40 minutes drive from Sydney's CBD. · By public transport: Take the train from the CBD to Blacktown station (approximately 45 minutes). On June 29 (Mon), booked through Zigzag Travel Agency, we arrived at Featherdale Wildlife Park right when it opened and had a wonderful time seeing cute wallabies, quokkas, koalas, and kangaroos. Although Wild Boar Rock (which resembles a dragon's head) wasn't on our detailed itinerary, we had some spare time and were glad to see it with our guide. We also had free time at Scenic World to take a walk around the area. At Echo Point, the sun shone brightly as we saw the magnificent Sejabong Peak and stunning scenery; we had such an enjoyable time!!
