2025 King's Cross St. Pancras Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in June)
All Moments About King's Cross St. Pancras
A day at the Google Office ...
You've heard about the perks, the free food, and the ultra-creative environment. But have you ever wondered what it's really like to work at Google?
Google Office doors in London are open to the public to visit therefore I took the opportunity to go for a tour guided by one of the employees.
Conversation got me thinking about what makes a Google office so Googly that everyone is drawn to them?
The Colors: Why are they colorful? Partly for the fun, creative vibe color brings to any space.
The encouragement to PLAY.
If you look into any of Google’s offices – you’ll always find some sort of play in action.
Most have video gaming, while others have swimming, gyms, and even volleyball.
An outstanding cafeteria.
When I first heard about Google and their work experience, I believe it was the free meals they provided their employees. While this might seem like an innocent perk, I believe the goal is to encourage employees to work longer.
Google huge new London HQ which is in construction next door.... got space for more than 4,000 employees, a rooftop garden with a running track, and has been dubbed a “landscraper” for being as long as a skyscraper is tall.
I cant wait to visit it when it will be open.

A must-visit for Harry Potter fans, London King's Cross Station🇬🇧
King's Cross Station is the most central station in London and a transportation hub that you will pass by at least once while using public transportation. However, King's Cross Station is more famous for Harry Potter's 'Platform 9 and ¾' than for these modifiers.
This is because this is where Harry Potter passes through the wall to get on the Hogwarts Express to go to Hogwarts from London, so you can feel the busy station atmosphere that you only see in movies.
For Harry Potter fans, there is a 9 and ¾ Platform photo zone and a souvenir shop where you can buy Harry Potter goods. You can see various products from magic wands to clothes, so if you are a Harry Potter fan, you should definitely stop by.
Also, don't miss the really cool exterior of the station!

🔍 Hidden Gems of King’s Cross: Beyond Platform 9¾
#londontrips
Think King’s Cross is just for catching trains? Think again. This buzzy, ever-evolving district has transformed into one of London’s most exciting places to explore — and it’s packed with hidden gems waiting to surprise you. Here’s your guide to discovering the unexpected:
🌿 1. Skip the Station, Head to the Skip Garden
Tucked just behind the station, the Skip Garden (now part of the global Culpeper project) is an urban oasis with plants growing in—you guessed it—recycled skips! It’s a sustainable garden with seasonal produce, quirky seating, and often pop-up cafes and workshops.
📚 2. The British Library’s Treasures Gallery
Most walk right past, but behind the red brick facade is a free-entry gallery housing literary gold: Shakespeare’s folios, the Magna Carta, Beatles’ handwritten lyrics, and more. Quiet, powerful, and beautifully curated.
🚶♀️ 3. Regents Canal Walk to Camden
Find the towpath near Granary Square and follow the peaceful Regents Canal westward. You’ll pass colourful houseboats, waterside cafes, and art murals — and it leads all the way to Camden Market if you’re up for the stroll.
🪷 4. Gasholder Park & Floating Garden
Walk through the elegant circular steel frames of the old gasholders, now a peaceful green park. Just beyond, find the Floating Garden, a lush island of greenery on the canal — peaceful, photogenic, and oddly serene in the heart of London.
💦 5. Granary Square Fountains (Night Edition)
By day, kids splash about. By night, it’s a dancing LED light show with hundreds of choreographed jets — surprisingly magical! Grab a drink from nearby Coal Drops Yard and enjoy the view.

This is located on the canal. and makes for a lovely walk in spring and summer. the coal yards used to be where the coal was transported into London via the canals but since the introduction of gas for heating the coal yards pretty much ceased to be relevent. they also housed the gas for the local area. and these too have fallen out of use.
The entire Kings Cross and Dt Pancreas underwent large redevelopment which turned a prostitute and drug ridden place into a new modern development with shops and weekly markets.
it's definitely bought some new life to the area and reduced the dangerous elements. it's worth a visit. as the designs incorporated alot of the old structures while keeping to the aesthetics.

PERFECTO WITH TRIP.COM booking
It was the booking made just before a day to travel to my place when TRAIN prices were hiking but this APP just genius and make this convenient.
Harry Potter World
I went to Christ Church, Bodleian Library, corridors, and Divinity School in Oxford, which were the models for Harry Potter, and Leadenhall Market, which was the model for Platform 9 4/3 and Diagon Alley in London!
Christ Church
This is the model for Hogwarts' Great Hall!
Christ Church's Great Hall is famous for being the model for Hogwarts' dining hall, and the long tables and decorations are just like in the movie, making you feel like you've entered the world of Harry Potter!
If you stay in the university dormitory, you can have breakfast here!
Bodleian Library
Hogwarts Library
The Bodleian Library was used as the Hogwarts library in the movie.
In particular, Duke Humfrey's Library appeared in the scene where Harry uses the Marauder's Map to secretly search for books at night.
The quiet atmosphere and rows of historic books are just like Hogwarts itself.
Stairs
Hogwarts staircase scene
The stairs that Harry walked down when he first entered Hogwarts in "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" are the Great Staircase of Christ Church.
The scene where Professor McGonagall welcomes the new students was filmed here!
Divinity School
Hogwarts Infirmary
A Gothic-style building built in the 15th century.
It was used as Hogwarts' infirmary in "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" and "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", and the beautiful ceiling decorations and arches are impressive! ️
Reservations are required for these buildings in Oxford!

An amazing and interesting St. Pancras Station exploration.
#europetrip#london#uk#historical
St. Pancras International is one of the most iconic
and well-regarded railway stations in London. The station is often praised for its stunning Victorian Gothic architecture, which has been beautifully restored. The unique high ceilings, intricate details, and overall grandeur make it a visually impressive place.
We were there to take the Eurostar to Paris, we
came quite early so have plenty of time to do some exploring for the surroundings while waiting to depature, There are 2 interesting spots that indeed impressed me much,
▶️ The Meeting Place Statue: This impressive and imposing sculpture which is a work by Paul Day in 2007, that represents a couple embracing under the emblematic station clock as a symbol of travel and farewell. It's truly an iconic piece of art and amazing display of artistry.
▶️ Statue of Sir John Betjeman: This sculpture is tribute to poet John Betjeman by Martin Jennings. Around the base of the statue are carved lines from Betjeman poems, "Here where the cliffs alone prevail. I stand exultant, neutral, free, And from the cushion of the gale. Behold a huge consoling sea. " The statue was unveiled in 2007 by Betjeman's daughter at the inauguration of the Eurostar service from St. Pancras Station.
Overall, the St. Pancras Station is absolutely a fine locale for history buffs and a splendid spot for capturing keepsake photos.

London |The brilliant choice to Paris with Eurostar
Every time I travel from London, I find the Eurostar incredibly convenient. From London St. Pancras to Paris Gare du Nord, it takes just over two hours, connecting city center to city center—fast, easy, and perfectly timed.
The Eurostar Business Premier experience is fantastic. Departing London in the morning, the lounge offers a variety of pastries, cereals, and coffee, and on board, you’re served a hot English breakfast.
On the return trip from Paris, the spacious lounge and dinner options—both hot and cold—are a real treat, and I noticed a fellow passenger enjoying a glass of white wine. The VIP service is truly impressive!
Now they launched the new menu with the chef of Ikoyi and other brilliant restaurants!
Looking forward to another Eurostar experience when I visit Paris again in December!

[Overseas train trip] London to Paris on the Eurostar🚃
Did you know that you can travel between London and Paris by train? The travel time is about 3 hours, like Tokyo and Osaka, so if you try hard, you can even make a day trip✨ This time, I boarded from the London side. London🇬🇧 Departing and arriving at St Pancras (Kings Cross) station📍Euston Rd., London N1C 4QP UK↓ Paris🇫🇷 Paris Gare du Nord station📍18 Rue de Dunkerque, 75010 Paris, France Uses Eurostar (high-speed train)🚃 There are first and second class cars, and each has different services. As you can see in the picture, the first class car comes with a meal. Original coloring books are also distributed to children☺️ The legroom was spacious and it was a very comfortable trip. Also, the fare tends to be higher the closer to the departure time, so it is recommended to make a reservation in advance. Please note that unlike the Japanese Shinkansen, the fare is not the same for the same car and the same route! #TrainTravel2024

A must-read for those traveling by train from London to Paris!! (St. Pancras)
I got from St. Pancross to London->Paris
But the train time is 4:30 PM, but what do you mean, in some reviews, they say to arrive 3 hours early??
Oh, but that was really, really too early. They didn't let you check in your luggage like on an airplane, and the platform wasn't set either.
Conclusion:
16:31 train time
14:30 admission (you have to go through security, it takes about 10-15 minutes)
Infinite waiting
16:11 I went to board the train as soon as the platform opened
(I don't know which platform will open, but I recommend waiting in front of the escalator about 10 minutes before: When you get on the train, you have to store your carrier on a 3-story shelf, but if your carrier is heavy, you have to lift it up and put it on the upper shelf yourselfㅠㅠ)
In other words, it's enough to arrive at the station 1 hour earlyㅠㅠ
(It's easy to find the way, just follow the international signs!)
Anyway, I had some time, so I decided to eat.
There are many expensive restaurants at St. Pancras Station, so I arrived early because I was worried. But since the gates were open, I had time to eat. Ramen
Go to King's Cross Station right next door and go to Wasabi!
I ate Korean BBQ beef ramen
chicken curry rice
wings
I didn't like the ramen wings, but the curry tasted like the curry we know.. I recommend the curry.
The price was reasonable compared to the UK prices!
If you are planning to move from the UK to Paris, I think it's worth a visit!
If it was even a little helpful, please say "It's the best" and
Have a nice trip❤️
St. Pancras Station is a symbol of history, elegance and romance
#100 Ways to Travel
St Pancras railway station (English: St Pancras railway station), also known as St Pancras International station (English: St Pancras International), is a large railway station located in the St Pancras area of London, the capital of the United Kingdom, located between the British Library and King's Cross Station.
The interior of St. Pancras is very cool, with a Baroque arcade design that spans the entire station. It is extremely majestic, and the ceiling is transparent, so natural light can come in, making even the ride there romantic.
The must-photograph lovers statue at the station, St. Pancras Meeting Point, this statue symbolizes the romance of travel. Under the statue, the sculptor carved several bronze statues, all of which depict different situations of people in the station.
Although I didn't take the Eurostar at this station this time, just the visit left a deep impression on me!
Wow
