Yosemite National Park trail
Famous for its giant sequoia trees and breathtaking waterfalls, Yosemite National Park is a major attraction for anyone visiting California! There are hikes of different difficulty levels so we took the beginners’ one because of me haha. The paths are mostly level and you get to see all sorts of creatures that live there. What an amazing natural sight for people who are too used to living in the city!
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Breathtaking View @ Yosemite!
One will not regret taking time to travel all the way to Yosemite and staying for a few nights!:)
Getting There - it was a 5 to 6 hours drive from Los Angeles
Attractions - Breathtaking views of mountain, lakes and valleys
Hotels - There are various types of accomodations in the area. Ranging from Condominiums (with BBQ pits) to Lodges (with many facilities)
Food - Not to worry if you are staying at Lodges with fully equipped facilities as they would have restaurants there for dining.

Yosemite National Park
stunning place, best pictures are on the afternoon. we stayed at Mariposa and drove at 11am towards Yosemite, dont forget to prebuy your day pass online, from the moment you leave Mariposa, the drive through canyon is stunning, once you get to park its amazement after amazement, we walked the Mist trail, and end up driving to glaciar point for sunset, it you go there before the sun sets, everything looks pink… after completing the walk on this area, next day we decided to make the drive across the park, which takes you through some other magnificent locations, some beautiful lakes, were you can kayak or paddle board… once you are finished that road you have the chance ro start heading to Death Valley National Park

Majestic Falls
In the Yosemite National Park you will come across Vernal Falls. A 317 foot water fall that falls into the Merced River. The falls run all year round but at certain points of the year they break into multiple strands when the volume of water decreases. Highly recommended, must visit!

Yosemite Valley Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Immerse in the beauty of nature in Yosemite
Getting there -
Yosemite is a national park in USA that is about four to five hour of driving from San Francisco, California, USA. There are four main entrances to Yosemite, depends where you come from. Also during peak season which is summer time, you will need to make reservations to enter to the park.
Attractions - Yosemite Falls, Half Dome, Tunnel View, Bridalveil Falls and El Capitan. Within the valley, there is free shuttle bus to take you around.
Hotels - You can stay inside the valley or outside towns near to the entrance. Within the valley, look for lodging in Yosemite. It is usually full house during peak season so recommend you to book early. Towns to stay near Yosemite are Mariposa, El Portal, Fish Camp, Oakhurst or Lee Mining
Food & Restaurants - There aren’t much food places in the valley, so prepare and bring your own food will be the best.

About Yosemite National Park
📍Location: California, USA
👤Indigenous people: Ahwahneechee
⛳️Area: 3,028.8 square kilometers
♟Established: Federal protection (1864); National Park (1890)
🗺Visitor centers: Yosemite Valley (year-round), Wawona and Tuolumne Meadows (May to October), Hetch Hetchy (limited hours)
🎟Entrance fee: $30 per vehicle; $15 per person.
▪️Yosemite was designated as a national park in 1890 and became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984.
▪️Before becoming a national park, Yosemite was home to the Ahwaneechee Native Americans for over 4,000 years. The California Gold Rush and hunting in the mid-19th century led to the displacement of the Ahwaneechee people from the area.
▪️Yosemite Falls is the highest waterfall in North America, and May is the best time to see it at its peak.
▪️Tioga Pass is the highest mountain pass in California and the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
▪️Wild animals found in the park include black bears, coyotes, mules, bighorn sheep, red foxes, chipmunks, squirrels, mountain lions, and more.
🕙Visiting time:
The valley is open all year round, with different beauty in each season. The park undergoes huge changes in every season, but summer is the peak season.
▪️Spring: Visit the flowing waterfall.
▪️Summer: hiking, camping
▪️Autumn: rich in colors, it is the favorite season of photographers.
▪️Winter: play in the snow, cross-country skiing
Personally, I prefer visiting during May to July, enjoying the lush green grass, flourishing trees, colorful small flowers, the sunlight shining on the mountain peaks, and the waterfalls at their highest flow during the snowmelt. Everything is just perfect.
⛰[Travel Guide]
🏔Mountain tunnel landscape
It is the most representative scenery of Yosemite National Park. When driving into the valley and leaving the Wawona Tunnel, Yosemite will appear in its most beautiful form before your eyes.
Right next to the parking lot, there is an observation deck where you can admire famous landmarks such as Half Dome, Bridalveil Fall, El Capitan, and the entire Yosemite Valley.
💡El Capitan is considered the largest exposed granite monolith in the world. Those with binoculars may even spot strange climbers crossing El Capitan's face, or see the headlamps of climbers camping on the wall at night.
🏔Mountain valley floor loop
Driving the Valley Floor Loop is the best way to visit the sights of Yosemite. Stop and admire the Yosemite Falls (you can choose to walk down the Yosemite Falls Trail), the El Capitan Meadow, Sentinel Bridge, valley views, and various other points along the way.
🏔Tioga Road
Tioga Road is another route to enjoy the beauty of Yosemite highlands. The road runs from west to east through the park, allowing access to both sides of the Sierras in the summer. Along the way, there are many overlooks, including Olmsted Point, Tenaya Lake Scenic Area, and Tuolumne Meadows.
🏔MARIPOSA GROVE
Yosemite is also home to giant sequoias, which can be seen by visiting Mariposa Grove. There are many hiking trails here, ranging from very easy (Big Trees Loop), to moderate (Grizzly Giant Loop), to difficult (Mariposa Grove Trail).
💡This area is home to over 500 giant redwoods!
🏔Glacier Point
This is definitely a must-see attraction for visitors to Yosemite National Park. Glacier Point can be accessed through a large parking lot on Glacier Road, with a short path leading to the viewpoint. From Glacier Point, you can see panoramic views of Half Dome, Nevada Falls, Vernal Falls, and the valley floor.

[Yosemite Valley]Yosemite Valley is located in the central part of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California, USA, and is home to many magnificent natural wonders. The mountain scenery, the special valley view of the tall sequoia tree crowns, and everything else make Yosemite a rare natural attraction. Hurry up! The latest and most comprehensive guide to Yosemite's Firefall in 2024
I planned a 2-day, 1-night trip to Yosemite. No need to rush for reservations on non-weekend days.
The first day, we start late from Fresno and arrive after 1 PM to start taking photos and checking in
The fastest way to get 9️⃣ photos for your social circle:
Tunnel View (get off the car and take a photo just like the Apple wallpaper) — Bridalveil Falls (a 5-minute walk to the base of the falls) - Swinging Bridge Panic Area (don't miss the huge sequoia forest next to the bridge, it's great for photos) - Yosemite Falls Parking, start walking around 4 PM, there are photo spots along the way to stop and take pictures.
Here comes the highlight 🌟🌟 How to photograph the Firefall
1. Non-disabled cars park at Yosemite Falls Parking, follow the crowd towards El Capitan, and if you have time, I recommend taking the dirt path through the woods instead of the paved road, the lakeside is great for photos and the air is better.
2. Arrive at the shooting spot around 4:40, there will be lots of people so you won't miss it, there are many professional photographers gathered on the side and a bit more towards the front, if you're adventurous with your phone, I recommend walking a bit further to the front for a better spot, professionals definitely don't need my recommendation! The shooting location is in picture 4
3. Finally, around 5:30, successfully photograph the Firefall! The 2024 Firefall prediction time is in picture 5, relax, going too early is just freezing, there are many spots where you can take a good photo.
4. Tips for phone photographers: Lower the brightness a bit after focusing for more vivid colors! Don't forget to turn your head after shooting the Firefall to take a photo of the opposite Golden Cap Mountain, it's also very beautiful.
Yosemite Falls
Yosemite's water flow has reached its highest point ever! The amount of water in the waterfall is so exaggerated that friends who want to see the waterfall will be attracted. This year's Yosemite is really awesome!
• Strongly recommend the Vernal Falls hiking route, hiking along the Mist Trail, the whole journey is about 3 miles, round trip. There is a section of this route very close to the waterfall, because the water volume is super large this year, the experience is simply bursting! The whole body's clothes, shoes, and backpack will be soaked, because the wind is very strong at the edge of the waterfall, and there is a lot of water vapor, just like climbing a mountain in a storm. You can take a look at the photos I took. The state at that time was completely dumbfounded, because I didn't check the strategy, I didn't expect to encounter such a scene. But in retrospect, I feel that I have really gained a unique experience!
Here are some small tips I wish I knew before I went:
• It is best to carry a trekking pole, because that section of the road is made up of stone steps. Although it is not easy to slip, the steps are full of water, and it encounters strong wind and heavy rain, using trekking poles can be more stable.
• Wear waterproof clothes, or at least wear quick-drying clothes. Considering the amount of water this year, it is certain to get wet.
• It is best not to wear framed glasses, because the glasses will be blurred by water.
• Prepare clean clothes and shoes in the car, and you can change them after going down the mountain.
Yosemite Lodge at The Falls Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Yosemite Valley Lodge
The location is excellent, the room is spacious and comfortable. It is very expensive at well over $300 a night, on top of which the staff pushes you to make an optional "donation" which I felt uncomfortable refusing. It was advertised as "book two nights and get one free" in the wintertime, which attracted me to book it, but in the fine print the promotion was not valid for the dates that I chose (Dec 17-19). For the price I wish it at least included breakfast.
