We were at Byron bay for 4 days and we still got a lot done, it’s a small quiet little town that has loads of independent restaurants/ cafes and shops which is always nice to explore. whilst there it’s a must that you go to the most easterly point of Australia, a lovely location that overlooks the sea and beyond, additionally when you reach the top of the hill there is a lighthouse which is nice to stop and get some pictures by! We also went Kayaking through a tour we booked which was great as you got to go into the water and see Byron bay from a different angle, overall a lovely town with friendly locals and perfect for a seaside stay. #travelling #byronbay

Getting There - To beat covid and all the travel restrictions and border closures, we escaped to Byron Bay, a short drive a cross the border from Queensland into New South Wales, or you can fly into Ballina Airport which is only a 30 minute drive to Byron. Attractions - Byron Bay Cookie Company and the lighthouse a must. A great walk up to the lighthouse with a cafe at the top. Hotels - Amazing Balinese style hotels, very busy and quite expensive at the moment due to everyone going on holiday within Australia. Food & Restaurants - Great choice of places to eat, all cuisines but again busy so book in advance! Shopping - there are a few shops here, surf shops mainly but we didn’t come here for the shopping. just to relax and chill, great coffee, food and wine. #café#romanticrestaurant

Skydiving is one of the most extreme sports you can indulge in when in Australia. Not everyone has the courage to jump from 15,000 feet! They say that after you have done it once, it becomes addictive. After all, the experience of soaring through the sky is exciting and precious. Skydiving activities can either be booked online or at the hotel. It is very convenient. It is also recommended to go as soon as you can since the waiting time is long. When everything is ready, you will have to board the small plane. Only five or six people are allowed to jump together. It is no wonder the wait time is long. After the jump, a certificate will be issued to commemorate your skydiving experience.

We stopped by for a laid-back lunch and grabbed a table overlooking the beach — salty air, blue skies, and the sound of waves in the background. The atmosphere is relaxed and beachy, with a steady mix of locals in swimwear and tourists soaking up the coastal vibe. We ordered a classic fish and chips, some local prawns, and grilled scallops — all fresh, simple, and done right. The prawns were sweet and juicy, the scallops had a nice char, and the fish was golden and crisp without being greasy. You can tell it’s all local catch — nothing frozen or fussy. To drink, we grabbed a latte and a milkshake. The coffee was smooth and the milkshake was that perfect old-school style — cold, creamy, and nostalgic. It’s the kind of place where you can roll in straight from the sand, eat with a view, and feel like you’re on holiday even if you’re just stopping by for lunch. A beautiful white lighthouse located at the easternmost point of mainland Australia. The view from here is truly spectacular, and the blue of the sea and sky seems to cleanse my soul✨ The day I visited, there were a lot of clouds, but the weather was good, and if you're lucky, you can even see whales! (June to November is whale watching season🐋) 🚶♀️There is a slight slope to the lighthouse, but the road along the sea is very pleasant and worth the walk! I took a different route on the way there and back, and both were easy to walk. You can also use Uber, but I recommend walking as a way to get some exercise♪ Luckily, I also encountered koalas and owls along the trail🦘🦉! The fun of walking in nature is also one of the attractions. Cape Byron Lighthouse🌊 I was very impressed when we drove up to the lighthouse. I was surprised to see such a beautiful sea and greenery in 360 degrees! The sunset is also very beautiful! This photo was taken in January, and the sea was a little murky and the sand was worn down when I visited recently, probably due to the effects of the typhoon. I wonder when it will be fully restored...🥲 ⚠️Anyway, there are few parking spaces, so you will have to drive around many times or walk about 30 minutes to park.
