Which Mountain to Choose for Lessons?
Now that you know about the courses, let’s look at which mountain to choose for your lessons!
Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk, and Snowmass—Aspen’s four mountains each have unique features, offering distinct learning opportunities for skiers of different levels and interests.
Aspen Mountain
Known for its excellent terrain and as a World Cup ski race venue, Aspen Mountain has some challenging trails. Note that Aspen Mountain does not have beginner trails, so no beginner courses are offered here.
Aspen Highlands
Its high-altitude areas offer big mountain skiing experiences, while mid-to-low altitude zones have extensive blue runs, some black runs, and moguls. However, due to terrain limitations, Aspen Highlands also does not offer beginner courses.
Buttermilk
Buttermilk is ideal for diverse teaching: gentle slopes for beginners, slightly steeper blue runs for intermediate skiers, and excellent terrain parks suitable for all ages and levels. At the base is The Hideout learning center, a play and learning area designed for children aged 2.5 to 6.
Snowmass
With its vast and varied terrain, Snowmass is perfect for all types of courses. At the base is the Treehouse Kids Adventure Center, and beginner and children’s lesson areas are available at Assay Hill and Elk Camp Meadows (equipped with magic carpets for easy access).
Aspen Snowmass offers a wide variety of courses with professional, excellent, and passionate instructors. Choose the course and mountain that suit you best, and every ski trip here will bring progress and fun.
