Address:
25, Lebuh Armenian, George Town, 10200 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia
Heritage House 25 is an arts and craft shop featuring many local Malaysian handmade goodies, making it a great location to shop for gifts to bring back home from your trip! We especially loved the ceramic tiles coaster. And once you're done shopping, be sure to have a drink at Atelier Coffee, a coffee stand located in the store itself! Delicious coffee at a great price. Do drop by during your walk at Armenian Street!

☁️ Relaxing Evening @ Langit Senja Kopi
#wheretogo
Address:
93, Lbh Armenian, George Town, 10200 George Town, Pulau Pinang
Langit Senja Kopi (Dusk Sky Coffee in Bahasa) is a Muslim-owned slow coffee bar. They also serve some light dishes to pair with your drinks, including some desserts.
I had a pudding at RM6, and I have to be honest, it wasn't exactly set at the bottom. Making it slightly eggy and runny.
There is a small counter near the front where they feature talented local artistes and sell their handmade products. The whole cafe's wall had handwritten notes pasted all over by visitors who came! It was nice staying and reading all the kind words.
They also have a friendly (chonky) cat, and if you're lucky, he may come over and have a seat with you as you drink your coffee! I, however, wasn't as lucky that evening...

🧉 MOMOKAKA @ Armenian Street
#hiddengems
Address:
48, Lbh Armenian, George Town, 10450 George Town, Pulau Pinang
MOMOKAKA: A place to drink and a place to hang out. This jewel right here is located right smack in the middle of Armenian Street. It is open from 11am right till midnight, and offers a huge selection of craft beer and bar food.
Not a drinker? They serve authentic Vietnamese coffee and great tacos in the afternoon!
We were spoilt by choice when we were there with a major selection of craft beers imported from all over the world. The vibes was great too! Live music from Aizad was superb - husky and soulful voice!

🚶♀️Night Stroll at Armenian Street
#citywalk
The Armenian Street is a street located right in the middle of UNESCO heritage site in Georgetown. The street garnered a lot of attention due to the street arts and the cafes along the street, making it a popular destination amongst tourists.
The vibes at night is calmer than afternoon, as most stores are closed. But that's when the bars are open and you can take pictures of the street arts with zero to little queue! If you've been to the street in the morning or afternoon, try evening for once!
Ps: This is where the famous "siblings on a bicycle" mural is at!

Better Than You Think
Armenian Street is at the corner of Cannon Street and is about a 5 minute walk. You can almost miss this entire street because it is much narrower than you think. Cars are not able to drive through here. If anything it’s more like Armenian Alley than Armenian Street.
The street is decorated really well with colourful umbrellas hanging along the entire street. It is obvious why this is the key image most people think of when they come across Armenian Street. But there’s more than this!
The entire street is filled with stores that sell souvenirs, ice kacang, gems and many more things! Just come down here for yourself and take a look. Besides stores, there’re plenty of street alert along here as well. With people taking pictures and shopping, you can already imagine how crowded this street usually is.

Penang Street Art - Penang Island, Malaysia
Penang Street Art are pretty much scattered across the city centre of Penang, but you can find most of the street arts along Armenian Street. It’s a vibrant & culturally rich destination well known for the Street art scene.
Armenian Street, also known as Lebuh Armenian. This street is lined with heritage buildings, quaint cafes & art galleries. But most tourists come here for the artworks.
One of the popular artwork here is “Children on a Bicycle”. The area is relatively small, so I would suggest taking your time to wander around & see the artworks. You would also want to know that George Town, where Armenian Street is located, is part of UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Armenian Street is easily accessible from other tourist attractions like Chew Jetty. You can also get there by taking the free CAT buses.

Street art of Georgetown
This is the second part of my story about the street art of the beautiful city of Georgetown. During my walks through the streets of the city, I saw and photographed dozens of these wonderful drawings. And I'm even afraid to imagine how many more passed me by!
But if you have little time to explore the city, then here's my advice: go to the main pedestrian street of the city, Armenian street. This is where you will find the most drawings and interesting buildings 👍

Armenian Street is a narrow street within the city of Georgetown in Penang. It is around 700 meters 10 minutes walk from Weld Quay Jetty Bus Terminal.
The road had gained popularity for its rich culture offerings and street art within the city's UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The street is surrounded by Chinese temples and Clan houses, it is full of charming shophouses, artists galleries, cafes and souvenirs shops.
Some of the best Penang's street art can be found here, like kids on the bicycle , beautiful cat and many more.
If you are tired of walking, you can choose to rent a bicycle to cycle around this beautiful town, or have a drink or food at one of the restaurants and cafes.

Street Art Come To Life in Penang 🎨
Another of Malaysia’s most prolific heritage cities, Penang invites tourists to take a walk outside on their cobbled streets filled with beautiful murals left and right. Street artists bring the art to life with various installations added as time progresses. You can’t visit Penang and not spend at least an entire day without combing the streets for these artworks as they tend to blend in with their surroundings as well. #newyearadventure

A very nostalgic trip
Take a stroll down the many, many lanes in Georgetown, Penang is like taking traveling back in time. Some of the buildings are really old, even back to the 1800s. Most tourists/travellers/backpackers/locals prefer to travel around the town by using motorcycles or bicycles, either self-owned or rentals. Personally I prefer using the bicycle provided by the city council, I think? But there are a lot of stations provided, so it’s definitely convenient.#tripblazers

THE FAMOUS ARMENIAN STREETS IN PENANG
Hey, if you’re looking for an artistic walls and delicious food, Penang should be in you list!
You can capture hundreds of photos of yourself in the Armenian Streets. The street artworks are just superb. Sometimes you have to wait for your turn in order to get yourself photographed. There are few attractions nearby, just prepare some money for the entrance fees. I just took a trishaw to stroll around the cities. #spooktaculartrip

Penang certainly entertained us during our visit last June. The art street in the Armenian street, Komtar TOP and the Escape is one of the best attractions.

Isuhana Travel
Lebuh Armenian, or Armenian Street, is a street in the inner city of George Town and within the core zone of the George Town Unesco World Heritage Site. It derives its name from an Armenian family who once stayed at the junction of the now Lebuh Armenian and Lebuh Pantai in the early part of the 19th century. The street is the venue of the weekly Armenian Street Fair. Armenian Street has three pieces of street art. They include two murals by Ernest Zacharevic and two steel-rod sculptures based on caricatures by Tang Mun Kian. I call the murals "Little Children on a Bicycle" and "This Old Man", while the sculptures are called "Procession" and "Then & Now". Definitely a place to visit. You haven’t been in Penang until you visited Art street. #awesomepic #deliciousfood #foodie

Armenian Street
Armenian Street has become extremely popular. The street art is interesting but some tourists will make a lot of fuss taking photos and delay you. For the avid photographer this is a must visit. Plenty of old and interesting houses, door-ways, drains and shops.
This street was full of tourists, but it wasn't too crowded, especially for a Saturday afternoon. The smells of the spices, listening to people talking, going into the shops, this is how you can learn about a place. We wandered about here and on the surrounding streets over the course of two days and really enjoyed ourselves. Plenty of nice coffee and snack shops. Easily walked around or hire a bicycle for added fun.

Charm of a coastal sleepy old town, Penang
#freehotelstay
Living on a very modern city, sometimes i do forgot the charm of an old town, and Georgetown, Penang certainly has plenty of those charms.
At the heart of the city, the buildings' design still has that old Peranakan architecture, most of them have that shop house configuration, which the new cafes on the are brought out its own charm.
As an effort to attract more tourist in the city, lots of art installations, murals and graffity are scattered around the walls of various building, waiting to surprise you and take a snap at every turn.

Sugar Society & Cendol Durian
#2024wish
Address:
29, Lbh Armenian, Street, 10200 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia
Sugar Society & Cendol Durian is a cendol specialty shop located at the Armenian Street. Cendols are great for the extremely hot weather and after a long walk - and you can also enjoy variety of durians here as well. They also sell handmade items like bags, great for souvenirs.
Location wise, it is perfect as it is located right in the middle of the Armenian walking street. But food quality wise, it is subpar - especially since it is so expensive.
But what do you expect from a tourist spot anyway?

Armenian Street
My favorite street in Penang's heritage district is Armenian Street (Lebuh Armenia). Even though this street is only a few blocks long, practically every single house appears to have something that draws my attention. The Sarkies Brothers, who built Singapore's renowned Raffles Hotel and George Town's own Eastern & Oriental Hotel, were among the Armenian residents who gave the street its name. It was originally known as Malay Lane because of the Malay village that inhabited the area. Nevertheless, the Chinese eventually renamed it Pak Thang-ah Kay (Copper Worker's Street) because this was where they could purchase brass- and copperware.

Free of charge and take whenever and however you wish at Armenian Street in Georgetown Penang . Hard to miss if you are around the are but you really need to roam around to find all the murals on the walls.
The local government has given hints where the arts are located so it’s sort of hunt and find activities .
located at old streets and now consider as heritage sites, it’s good to go in day time so the pictures look great. One can find many small shops which sells souvenirs and penang delicacies along the way. Just stop by any kopitiam to have fried kuay teow and local coffee. Another drink which I want to recommend is nutmeg drink . an Extemely cooling drink for a hot day
