Bhaktapur’s stunning royal architecture
We had the pleasure of stopping by Bhaktapur Durbar Square and wandering through this beautiful historical district.
These buildings and temples have been so well preserved; it’s an incredible feat, and a testament to the locals’ appreciation of their royal roots here. It truly feels as if you’re walking amongst them in the time period they were occupied by royalty, which was around 14th century!
A lot of appreciation and respect towards the government and locals who value these structures so much, and take pride in their ancestors work to such an extent. #bhaktapur #Nepal #architecture

Nepals Pottery Square
is located on the south side of Bad Dumbard Square and is one of its important components. The square has a thousand years of history, hand-made ceramics since ancient times, adhering to traditional crafts.
In a remote alley in the square, there is a kiln still in use today. These clay pots used to be used for sacrifices in the past, but they are now commonly used in people's lives. It is reported that most of the pottery tanks in Nepal originate from this.
When everyone wanders around Bad Dumbard Square, you may wish to come here to see you.
The Open-Air Museum of Nepal—Bhaktapur Durbar Square
Bhaktapur is the old royal palace of Nepal. It was severely damaged in the earthquake of 2015, and despite nearly a decade of restoration, the signs of damage are still visible everywhere.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square is the largest square in Bhaktapur, rich in historical and cultural heritage, known as the 'Open-Air Museum'; it is a ticketed attraction. The architectural style is simple and elegant, full of artistic sense, featuring distinctive temples, as well as palaces, shrines, temples, stupas, statues, etc., with historical significance and profound meaning. The iconic Nyatapola Temple is particularly astonishing! It feels like a journey through time and space, offering an excellent experience, and is definitely worth a visit.

Visiting Bhaktapur Durbar Square was an amazing cultural and historical experience. Bhaktapur is an ancient city in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal, famous for its diverse cultural and architectural monuments.
When I arrived at the Durbar Square, I was deeply impressed by the unique beauty that reflects the history and culture of Nepal. The ancient buildings and ornate temples were a charming and astonishing sight. The area has traditional architectural designs and delicate details that reflect traditional Nepalese architecture.
I visited various temples and historical buildings in the square, and learned about their stories and significance. Among the famous places I visited in Bhaktapur Durbar Square was the renowned Nyatapola Temple, considered one of the tallest temples in Nepal.
While traveling around the square, I also met local artisans working to preserve the ancient Nepalese craft traditions. I saw them making pottery, textiles, and other handicrafts, and it was an impressive experience to see the intricate traditional craft skills.
I can't forget the atmosphere of the place; it was quiet and comfortable. The square is home to many traditional cafes and restaurants that serve delicious Nepalese food. I enjoyed a delightful local culinary experience and the splendid view of the square.
Visiting Bhaktapur Durbar Square was an opportunity to discover the ancient history and culture of Nepal and to enjoy its unique beauty. I highly recommend this fascinating place to anyone interested in history, culture, and art.

Nepal Travel: The Most Photogenic Spots in Bhaktapur City
During a trip to Nepal, take a stroll in Bhaktapur, one of the three ancient cities of Kathmandu. This is the most complex and magnificent place for traditional Newari architecture, and also the best spot for taking photos.
Make good use of different focal lengths on your phone to take great photos 📷.
Ultra-wide-angle upward shot of the diagonal extension of the architectural grand scene;
Use a telephoto lens to capture and compress different levels of architectural space in a scene.
Placing the characters in the picture, you can crop the photo to the desired composition for secondary creation;
Boudhanath is indeed my favorite place in Kathmandu right now, it's so picturesque.
🌟Highlight features:
Bhaktapur is the birthplace of medieval architecture and art in Nepal. Brick red is the main color of the ancient city of Bhaktapur, with simple red bricks, finely crafted dark chestnut wood carvings, and dense temples and brick and stone pagodas forming Bhaktapur's unique architectural style.
As a former capital, Badagang has a considerable number of ancient buildings, mainly concentrated in the three major squares in the center of the old city: Duba Square, Taomadi Square, and Taqupa Square.
✅Duba Square
Durbar Square is the largest square in Bhaktapur, surrounded by various ancient temples and old buildings. Here stands the palace of the Malla dynasty, which lasted for 500 years, including many palaces, courtyards, temples, statues, etc., each with its own artistic characteristics, known as the "essence and treasure of medieval Nepalese art". The Golden Gate and the 55 Window Palace are renowned for their exquisite copper casting and wood carving art, and are rare artistic treasures.
✅Tao Madi Square
Tao Madi Square is located in the southeast of Badagang City. It is the second largest square in Badagang and an important part of the thousand-year cultural and historical river of Badagang. This square has three important temples, namely the famous Niata Pola Temple, the Bairawana Temple and the Narayan Temple, all of which are must-visit places for cultural and historical tours.
✅Tajupá Plaza
Tachupa Square, also known as Dattatreya Square, is rectangular and consists of medieval temples and houses surrounded by four sides. Tachupa Square is the last of the three squares that make up the entire medieval city of Bhaktapur, and it is also the earliest central square in Bhaktapur. As early as the 16th century, the Bhaktapur Palace was located here, making it the oldest place in Bhaktapur.

It's impossible not to go to the old city in Nepal like Bhaktapur. It's one of the wonderful place I like the most. With beautiful architecture and cultures in the town, it amazed me in every corners.
I recommend to hire a local guide to learn more about this place. It's much more enjoyable to see and listen to the stories at the same time.

Nepal Bardagumba Square
Boudhanath Square in Badaguan is wider than Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. The north side has a large golden gate and 55 black sandalwood carved windows (known as the 55-window palace) of the old palace, which are ancient yet exquisite. Next to it is the Batsala Temple, a stone-built Hindu temple with beautiful and intricate carvings, and a large bronze bell hanging outside the temple. The Golden Gate, as the name suggests, is a magnificent golden gate that stands out among the many red buildings. The 55-window palace was built in 1700 AD, with walls made of red bricks decorated with beautiful backgrounds and carvings, and a balcony with 55 windows.
On the southeast side is the Niyata Bora Temple (also known as the Five-Story Pagoda), which stands 30 meters tall and is a landmark building on the square. You can climb its steep stairs and sit atop it to overlook the entire square.

A trip to Nepal -
a person walking in the Bardgang Durbar Square.
The figure in the lens, whether it is my deliberate pursuit, or whether they suddenly appear or pass by, make my journey rich and exciting.
Sometimes, let go of the camera and catch up with them when you smile. Whenever I hear that I am from China, they are especially enthusiastic.
Nepal, not only loves to smile, but also very simple. Even if I travel alone, I won't feel lonely.
Known as the "open-air museum", Badgau Square is a great place to enjoy the architectural art of the Mala Dynasty. One of the most famous 55-window palaces and the five-story tower of Nitabola has excellent artistic value and is a must-see for the trip to Bad Dumbard Square.
But here, there are many other temples and monuments that are so beautiful that they are everywhere and at your fingertips. Whether it's a sequence of appreciation, or a random walk, walking and walking, can't help but be surprised: no matter where you are at your feet or at the top of your hand, there is hardly a place that is not the artistic expression of the Mala Dynasty.
Budgang Durbar Square, one of the three largest Durbar Squares in Nepal, is known as the "open-air museum", including the royal palace, temples, pagodas and statues of the Mala Dynasty. The Badgund Durbar Square is wider than the Durbar Square in Kathmandu. It looks clean and the beauty of the building is more carefully seen.
But... Facing the monuments, I cant help but climb the bear children who are taking pictures. Its really the same in the world!
Especially Nepalese children, really like to take pictures. When I saw the camera, I quickly called me, asked me to take pictures for them, didnt look good, and asked for another one!
But to be honest, when I was a child for the first time, I was sitting on a stone sculpture while I was traveling with my parents. Although I was taken up, I thought about it, I was a "bear" when I was a child.
Compared to the pigeons of Durbar Square in Kathmandu, the compactness and divinity of the temple and the pilgrims, the Badgund Durbar Square is much wider, with more tourist hawkers and souvenir shops, but the buildings here are still beautiful, including The royal palaces, shrines, temples, pagodas, statues, etc. of the Mala Dynasty are known as the open-air museum.
The history of the Mala Dynasty is the most prosperous period of Nepalese culture. However, a major earthquake in 2015, including the Kathmandu Durbar Square and the Badgund Durbar Square, was severely damaged. The Vitru Saraduga Temple in Bad Dumbard Square was completely collapsed, Shiva The top of the temple collapsed, and the top of the temple was collapsed, but the preserved monuments still showcase the medieval architecture and art of Nepal to tourists from around the world, still attracting tourists from all over the world.
The kings open-air bathroom, the most striking thing around it is the bronze statue of the Cobra King. The snake, a Hindu god, is also recognized by the Nepalese as a rain god. It is highly admired and its status is the same as our Chinese dragon worship.
The bath is located in the old royal palace of Bad Dumbard Square in Nepal. It is also the only place in the palace that allows tourists to take pictures. It is said that when the king took a bath, no one was allowed to be there, including Wang Hao.
If you are here, it is recommended to find a local guide and you will hear many little-known Nepalese history and culture.
Known as the country of the temple, Nepal is one of the most beautiful countries at the foot of the Himalayas. Bardgang Durbar Square is one of the three largest Durbar Squares in Nepal and is known as the open-air museum. There are the royal palaces of the Mala Dynasty and many unique temples, temples, pagodas, statues, etc., which are known as "the essence and treasure house of medieval Nepalese art".
I was impressed by the Nepalese old man who was playing the flute at the NYATAPOLATEMPLE.
The old man is playing the flute, and an indescribable music flows into the air. It is like some kind of whine, which makes people feel a little discomfort. I tried to communicate with him, but he didn't speak English. He just pointed to the temple in the left front that was still under construction. The brow was wrinkled. I saw the tears in his eyes.
This is a vicissitudes of life, witnessing the glorious past of Nepal; this is a city full of culture, standing on this miraculous land.
This is a city with a splendid color, such as a beautiful historical scroll, spread out over the land of Nepal.
From Patan to Badgau, there is no choice to take a taxi. Instead, take a local minibus. The location of the bus is on the south side of Patan Square. You can see the station through the market.
Badagan is located 14 km east of Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. It is one of the three major cities in the Kathmandu Valley and is the birthplace of medieval architecture and art in Nepal. Badgren, the "city of rice" or the "city of devout people" in Nepali. Brick red is the main color of the ancient city of Badgren, with rustic red bricks and deep maroon wood carvings. Together with dense temples and masonry stupas, it forms the unique architectural style of Badgren. From the 14th to the 16th century, Badgren was the capital and political and cultural center of the Mala Dynasty and the birthplace of medieval Nepalese art and architecture. The
marathian dynasty was established in the early 13th century, and "mara" is a "wrestler" in Nepali. There is a saying that the Nepalese king at the time liked to wrestle. One day, when he was wrestling, he got the news that his son was born, so he added the word "marathon" to his son's name. Since then, the kings have added these two words to the name, and the name of the Mala Dynasty has come.
In its heyday, Badgau has a large palace, a huge temple complex, 172 temples, and a resting place for 172 pilgrims.
Durbar Square is the first major square in Baddeau and my favorite square. According to reports: The most important building in the square is the old palace with 99 courtyards - this is the pride of Nepalese forever. Connected to the White Old Royal Palace is the King's harem with many romantic love stories: 55 Window Palace. Built in 1700 AD, the 55-window palace is made of red brick with a beautiful background and engravings, and 55 window balconies carved with sandalwood. The reason for calling this name is because there was once a king, because the palace door was not free to go out and was depressed. In order to please the beautiful woman, the king ordered the wall of the palace to be demolished. All of them were replaced by windows. There were a total of 55 fans. Wang Hao could see the outside world without leaving the house. This is the same as the original intention of the construction of the Wind Palace in Jaipur, India.
Now, the two palaces have become part of the National Gallery of Nepal, which houses the finest ancient sculptures and paintings of Nepal. The tempering of the years gave the whole building a sense of vicissitudes... The local residents who walked around the palace enjoyed the happiness of the civilians, they lived in the city without being disturbed, and stayed with the past. The aristocratic atmosphere formed a strong contrast.
Badggang has been the capital of the Mala Dynasty, the political, religious and cultural center of the time. It is the birthplace of medieval Nepalese art and architecture. It is known as the living site and the open-air museum, Bhadgaon. In fact, it is the old name. It is now called Bhaktapur. Badagang is 14 kilometers away from Kathmandu. Bhaktapur means rice city in Nepali language. It is the third largest city in the valley except Kathmandu and Patan. Among the three major cities, Durbar Square in Badgren is the largest and the oldest.
The famous British traveler Powell said: "Even if Nepal is not there, as long as there is Badrgang, it is worth flying over half of the earth to see it." If I say which city I like the most in Nepal, Badgren is none other than.
The ancient city is not much bigger than Patan, and the architectural style is much the same. But Badmond seems to be more quiet, comfortable, relatively less visited, and the environment is better, people's lives seem to be more leisurely. The temples and pagodas in the square stand quietly, a group of pigeons flying in the sky, the children playing in the square, the young Nepalese youths with clear outlines and smiling smiles sitting on the ground and dazed at the feet. The dog sat down to sleep, and the cheerful folk music came from the barber shop. The barber carefully repaired the guest's horns with a little song. The guests licked their stomachs and snorted in the simple and comfortable seats. Drawing Thangka intently, coloring is elegant...
