The reputation of the movie street is exaggerated; BIFF Snack Street I ate the more famous rice cakes/brown sugar cakes/fish cakes. It's basically like Ximending in Taiwan. You can eat, go shopping, and buy small things! ❤️ I like honey cream waffles, melon nut brown sugar pancakes, and cheese pancakes are made to order. The red sign has a long queue. The yellow sign next door sells the same thing. We bought one each but the taste is almost the same. The skin is thin and crispy😋 ❤️ You can choose any crowded store for rice cakes and fish cakes. Basically, they are not amazing but also bad. I recommend going to the canned food market later. One of the most popular sweets in Korea is "hoteok". I love hotteok, but the hotteok I had at "Seunggi Ssiat Hotteok" in BIFF Square in Busan tasted completely different from other places! The reason is that they use butter instead of oil to fry the hotteok. The rich flavor of the butter permeates the hotteok, and the juicy brown sugar and crunchiness of the nuts are irresistible! It's so delicious that you can eat one in one go. There is always a line no matter when you visit, but they are made efficiently so the wait is not that long. I went to "Mister Sweet (Busan main store)" located right next to BIFF Square in Nampo-dong. It was a morning with a slight, no, quite a hangover. I wanted something refreshing, so I popped into an ice cream shop on the main street of BIFF Square lol When I entered the cute shop with a refreshing mint green color, I was able to sit and eat at my leisure in a deeper interior than I expected. The display case was filled with gelato and colorful toppings. Since it was only written in Korean, I used a translator to look up the flavors I didn't know. There were also some attractive flavors I had never tried before, such as Lemon Dill Butter (Lemme Dill Butter) and Ferrero Rocher (Ferrero Rocher). I was also attracted by the yogurt ice cream, but I decided to go with the safe option of my favorite, 리얼피스타치오 (real pistachio). You order using the touch panel next to the display case. It comes with pictures, so you can probably figure it out even without the Japanese text. BIFF, stand for Busan International Film Festival. Obviously, travel distance from Haedong Yonggunsa Temple to BIFF Square is about 28 km. By that time we reached there it almost 6.00 pm. Visit here on Sunday or weekend is very crowded along the streets of BIFF. To the street food lovers, the BIFF is the perfect place and well known food paradise. By 7.00 pm, night market stalls will open it business to customers. BIFF ( Nampo-Dong ) easy access by foot to Gukje Market Food Street. Along the path, food lovers can enjoy various kind of food collections. This is the second attraction in Busan we headed. This area is dedicated to the film veterans of Korea .That’s why I can see lots of palm prints of famous film directors and movie celebrities on the ground along the street of BIFF Square. In my opinion, BIFF Square in Busan is more fun than Myeongdong area in Seoul, because the variety of stores in BIFF Square is much more interesting, ranging from branded clothes, bags, accessories, shoes, etc. While in Myeongdong area, 80% of the stores are cosmetics stores which have no use for me 😅 As I don’t really do shopping much , my main purpose is to eat . there are so many street food here and I totally spoilt for choice since I cannot make up my mind I try almost all the food there I can see. When I went to Seoul, I decided to take the KTX to Busan for a day trip, and packed in as many places I wanted to go as I could in one day! I narrowed down the places I wanted to go as much as possible, arrived at Busan Station after 10am, and had to board the train to Seoul at 10pm, so it was a very hectic trip, but I got to see the ocean and eat delicious food, and it was a happy trip 🍀 From Busan Station to Jagalchi Station → Bus to #Gamcheon Culture Village Bus → #Hinyoul Culture Village Bus → #Nampo-dong Station Nakgobse at #Gaemijip → Eating around at #biff Square Jagalchi Station → ##Haeundae Sky Capsule or tram? I've been on the train before, so I walked along the tracks. Haeundae Station → Busan Station is a bit far, so I thought I'd arrive early, but time was running out, so I got takeout from a Dakgangjeong restaurant near the station and headed back to Seoul. 😭 I walked more than 20,000 steps. 🎶 It was a lot of fun, but I felt like the bus rarely arrived on time, so I think it's better to take a taxi or train!
