On the roof, a giant dragon made of ancient porcelain tiles hovers in the shape of the word "China". Behind the dragon is the Bird's Nest, the main stadium of the 2008 Olympic Games, made up of broken porcelain tiles. The whole building has five floors, and floors one to four are open to tourists. There are many precious ancient wooden furniture pieces on each floor, and the red walls are covered with porcelain tiles depicting calligraphy and paintings by famous people from ancient and modern times, both at home and abroad.

The "Tianjin Zhang Xueliang Former Residence" Museum is the living and office residence of the patriotic general Zhang Xueliang in Tianjin and a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit. In 2009, it took two years to renovate the temple and recreate the scene of General Zhang Xueliang here.

The former residence of Zhang Xueliang was built in 1921 in French Baroque style. It is luxurious, beautiful and generous. There are roof platforms on the second and third floors on the front. The spacious and elegant interior still retains the Philippine wooden stairs, floors, doors and windows from 100 years ago. The museum includes rooms such as the young marshal's reception for government affairs, banquet hall, office study, military and political meeting hall, living bedroom with Miss Zhao Si, and Miss Si's reception room, which fully restores the original life of General Zhang Xueliang and Ms. Zhao Yidi. The museum has more than 300 original cultural relics, which are restored in their original style. Here you will also learn about the stories and secrets of the young marshal's interactions with celebrities such as Mr. Sun Yat-sen, Mr. Zhang Boling, Mr. Zhang Daqian, and Mr. Mei Lanfang. It is a holy place for cultural and historical tourism in Tianjin.

Visiting Experience of Zhang Xueliang's Former Residence. This time I came to Tianjin, I visited Zhang Xueliang's Former Residence. The overall experience was both surprising and regretful. I would like to share my feelings with you. Judging from the geographical location and architectural appearance of the attraction, Zhang Xueliang's former residence is located in a prosperous area of Tianjin, with very convenient transportation and complete surrounding supporting facilities. It is very convenient whether you travel by public transportation or by car. The building itself is very distinctive, combining the architectural style of the Republic of China with Western elements, with red walls, green tiles, carved beams and painted buildings. Just standing at the door, you can feel a heavy historical atmosphere, making you instantly travel back to that turbulent era. It is also very photogenic. It is one of Tianjin's most iconic tourist attractions. For tourists visiting Tianjin for the first time, it is worth a visit to experience the city's unique historical charm. Walking into the former residence, the exhibition hall displays General Zhang Xueliang’s life stories and life fragments through some old photos, old objects and scene restoration, allowing visitors to have a general understanding of his life trajectory. In particular, the restoration of some living scenes, such as the study and bedroom, is decorated more delicately, as if you can see the atmosphere of life here in the past. It still has a certain appeal to friends who are interested in the history of the Republic of China. However, it must be said that the display content inside the former residence is relatively limited, and the visiting area is not large. After the overall visit, it feels that the amount of information is not particularly rich, and it is difficult to gain an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of General Zhang Xueliang's life and that magnificent history. Compared with some similar celebrity residences, the display format here is a bit simple, not very interactive, and lacks some novel display methods, making it difficult for tourists to have an immersive experience. In terms of display content and experience value, it did not meet my expectations. Speaking of ticket prices, I think they are indeed a bit high. With such a scale of exhibition and quality of content, the cost performance is not high compared with the ticket price. For the same price, you can visit museums or attractions in Tianjin with richer content and a better experience. If the ticket price can be appropriately lowered, or the display content can be enriched and the display quality improved, I believe it will be more popular with tourists. In general, as a landmark attraction in Tianjin, Zhang Xueliang's former residence is worth visiting and taking photos due to its unique architecture and historical background. However, if you want to learn more about General Zhang Xueliang's life story and historical value, you may be disappointed. I hope that the scenic spot can be further optimised and improved in the future to bring a better travel experience to tourists.

Xikai Church is located at the southern end of the bustling Binjiang Road commercial street in Tianjin. It was built in 1917 and is the cathedral of the Catholic Diocese of Tianjin. The architectural style of the church is very solemn, and the sculptures inside the church are also very exquisite. In addition, the masses and Catholic festival activities are open to the public, and you can participate in them and feel the strong religious atmosphere.

Address: No. 13 Xining Road, Heping District, Tianjin

Opening hours: 06:00-16:00

evaluate:

Beside Tianjin's bustling Binjiang Road, there is a Xikai Church, which shines with unique brilliance like a bright pearl. This church, built by French missionaries, is the largest Romanesque building in Tianjin, embodying a century of historical vicissitudes and cultural heritage. Its red and yellow striped exterior wall is bright in the sunlight, and its three large emerald green dome towers are arranged in a “品” shape, as if telling a story of the years. Walking into the church, the interior is dominated by lake blue and white, creating a peaceful and sacred atmosphere. 14 columns support the three-corridor structure. The dome and side windows are decorated with colored glass with paintings. The sunlight shines through the glass, creating colorful light and shadows that are like a dream. Some exquisite murals and sculptures tell religious stories and make people feel the perfect fusion of art and faith. Whether believers come here to pray or tourists come here to appreciate the architectural art, Xikai Church can bring people spiritual shock and comfort. It is a check-in destination not to be missed in Tianjin.

Wudadao is a popular destination for tourists in Tianjin. Wudadao is located in the Heping District, Tianjin. It is named after the five main roads in the area and has more than twenty streets. During the Republic of China period, many Qing dynasty loyalists, officials of the Beiyang government, and celebrities once lived here. The beautiful and elegant Western-style houses seem to be telling the story of Tianjin's past.

Transportation: Take the subway to Yingkoudao Station or Xiaobailou Station.

Tianjin’s Wudadao seems like travelling back a hundred years. The streets are lined with Gothic, Baroque and other style buildings, carved fences and stained glass, showing an exotic atmosphere. Walking in the meantime, the sunlight shines through the branches and leaves, making the scenery look mottled. When you are tired of shopping, you can go to the corner cafe, listen to melodious music, and sip fragrant coffee. It is so comfortable and leisurely that you will never want to leave.

Jingyuan is located on Anshan Road, Heping District, Tianjin. It is an elegant Western-style residence and the former residence of the last emperor, Puyi. Here you can learn about Puyi's life and visit his office and residence at that time. Jingyuan is divided into two small courtyards: the main courtyard and the west courtyard. The courtyards are home to the main building, the Aixinjueluo Puyi Exhibition Hall, the Jingyuan Restoration Exhibition Hall, and the Visitor Center.

Address: No. 70 Anshan Road, Heping District, Tianjin

Opening hours: 09:00-17:30 (no admission after 17:00)

evaluate:

It's OK, but it's still in the style of the Republic of China. My mother wants to see it. After all, it's the last king. Only two floors are open. There is no air conditioning in the surrounding exhibition halls. It's stuffy and hot. I suggest you go there to cool down. The place is in an alley. It's more convenient to take a taxi.

There are more than 200 Mediterranean-style buildings in the Italian-style district in the center of Tianjin. Walking in the Italian-style district is like walking in a romantic European town. Marco Polo Square is one of the landmark buildings in the scenic area. There are also many former residences of celebrities here, including the former residence of Liang Qichao, the former residence of Cao Kun, the President of the Republic of China, and the former residence of Feng Guozhang, all of whom were famous figures in China in the early 20th century. At night, the lights in the Italian-style buildings light up, the Western restaurants, coffee shops and bars become lively, and the Italian-style area becomes even more charming.

Address: No. 25, Ziyou Road, Hebei District, Tianjin

Opening hours: 24 hours a day, all year round

evaluate:

When you come to Tianjin, you must visit the Italian-style street. It’s great for taking photos here, hehe. The beautiful scenery and ancient architectural style make you feel like you have travelled abroad. Haha, this place is very close to the Haihe River, Tianjin Eye and Golden Street, and the price-performance ratio is very high. There are many snacks and stylish restaurants here, which are quite good.

The Ancient Culture Street is located in the Nankai District, Tianjin. It is centered on the Tianhou Palace, starting from Shuige Street in the south and ending at Tongbei Road in the north. This is where Tianjin’s time-honoured shops and handicrafts are concentrated. It is a great place for shopping and delicious food. When you come to the Ancient Culture Street, you can find many handicrafts such as Yangliuqing New Year Pictures, Zhang's Clay Figurines, Wei Ji Kites, etc. You can also taste local classic delicacies such as Goubuli Steamed Buns, Jianbing Guozi, Tianjin Hemp Flowers, etc. The Tianhou Temple in the center of the Ancient Culture Street is the core of the ancient cultural street. It is a place dedicated to the Queen of Heaven, who blesses safe voyages at sea, and has a history of more than 600 years.

Strolling along Tianjin Ancient Culture Street is like embarking on a journey through time and space with the flavor of Tianjin! As the birthplace of Tianjin, this ancient street carries a history of more than 600 years. The Qing-style buildings with green walls, black tiles, carved beams and painted rafters, together with the painted archways of "Hometown of Tianjin" and "Gushang Art Garden" at the north and south intersections, display the ancient Chinese charm everywhere. This is a treasure trove of intangible cultural heritage. The colorful sculptures by Zhang the Clay Man are vivid and lifelike; the Yangliuqing folk paintings are brightly colored and depict folk customs. The time-honoured delicacies are even more mouth-watering, such as the crispy and sweet Erduoyan fried cakes, the special nuts from Guoren Zhang, and the crispy bean snacks from Bengdou Zhang; every bite has the authentic taste of Tianjin. On the 23rd day of the third lunar month, the lively "Imperial Meeting" is held, with dragon lanterns, stilts and yangko dances taking turns to perform, fully displaying the charm of folk customs. In the ancient street, cultural goods stores, antique shops and trendy coffee shops are side by side, where tradition and modernity collide to create a unique atmosphere. Whether you want to admire ancient buildings, appreciate intangible cultural heritage, or try delicious food and find great products, Tianjin Ancient Culture Street can satisfy all your expectations for Tianjin’s customs!

The Tianjin Eye is a Ferris wheel that spans the Haihe River, like an eye on a bridge. It is also one of Tianjin's famous landmarks. Every night when the lights come on, the colorful lights of the Tianjin Eye are soft and beautiful. Countless tourists come here to take panoramic photos or take sightseeing rides to enjoy a different kind of romance. There are generally two ways to visit the Tianjin Eye: riding on it or viewing it from a distance and taking photos. The Ferris wheel takes about 30 minutes to complete one circle; if you want to take pictures of the Ferris wheel, the best location is on the King Kong Bridge on the south side of the Ferris wheel.

An interactive exhibition, but the things inside are not real; they are imitations. More people were going there on the morning of May Day. It is suggested that the content can be richer, or more explanations can be added to attract more children.
