[2025 Tokyo Restaurant] Travel Guide for Blue Bottle Coffee - Shinjuku Cafe (Updated May)

Simple cafe that specialises in coffee. There are quite a few outlets here in Tokyo. All of them look as aesthetic as each other. I got an iced latte and a marble cake. Coffee was pretty alright. Very fragrant but nothing particularly special about it. The cake was a bit tough too but rather flavourful. Overall it’s a nice place to just hang about to take a break at from all the shopping and sightseeing. But I wouldn’t recommend seeking out this place. Alway want to try this out as i feel this is the 'Starbucks' of Japan. Managed to pass by it at Shinjuku area (near Takashimaya Shinjuku). As usual, crowds and queues are expected. The merchandise collection was alright, variety of drinks is alright(can expand to more variety to cater to different taste buds.). Managed to try out 1 of the cold drink and will say not too bad actually. Overall experience was great and will be back again soon

Now you can get to try it in Tokyo. The interior of this cafe is very clean and minimalistic, almost like a science lab. Bright interior, window view, high ceilings, and stylish baristas of native Japanese and Californian expats in denim. Price-wise is on the expensive end but you must try the NOLA ice cofee as it’s strong yet clear and so delicious. I regret not getting any merchandise here. Get their cold brew can for take away too.

I went to the Blue Bottle Shinjuku store on the first floor of Shinjuku NEW Man. It's a chain so there are several stores, but I often go to the Shinjuku store♪ It's close to the station and has a lot of seats, so you can relax.
