The Changsheng Hall is located to the east of the Wanzhao Pavilion, in Lishan, Xixiuling, and is also called Jilingtai. It is one of the main buildings of the Tang Dynasty Huaqing Palace. Built during the six-year reign of the Tang Emperor Tianbao (AD 748), it was a temple for memorializing and worshiping seven emperors, so in the Tang Dynasty, it was also called the "Holy Seven Hall". In 2005, Changsheng Hall was extensively renovated. Prior to that, it was main site for the Tang Huaqing Palace Cultural Relics Mueseum. After 2008, it became the new performance venue for the "Song of Everlasting Regret", a famous narrative poem penned by Tang poet Bai Juyi.
