The southernmost point of mainland China is located at Dengloujiao in Xuwen County, with geographical coordinates of 20°13'26.1" north latitude and 109°55'10.3" east longitude. It was known as "the southernmost point" and "the end of the south" in ancient times. Dengloujiao is named after the ocean and the lighthouse. Its terrain resembles a bull's horn extending into the sea and is surrounded by the Qiongzhou Strait and the Beibu Gulf. The corner of the lantern tower hides a rich history. According to the "History of Chinese Navigational Aids", France occupied this place in 1894 and built the Dengloujiao Lighthouse. The Dengloujiao Lighthouse was fired on January 1, 1895 (the sixth day of the twelfth lunar month in the twentieth year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu), with a range of 13.8 nautical miles. It is the earliest navigation lighthouse on the Leizhou Peninsula and an important navigation aid for China's route to Southeast Asia. In March 1950, Dengloujiao became the first crossing point for the Crossing to Hainan operation, which fired the first shot in the liberation of Hainan. In 1994, on the centenary of the establishment of Dengloujiao Lighthouse, the Provincial Maritime Safety Administration built a multifunctional modern lighthouse here to meet the needs of modern shipping development. The new lighthouse is in the shape of a hexagonal prism, 36.6 meters high, and is equipped with intelligent, high-brightness lamps, an all-weather radar transponder, and an environmentally friendly solar power supply system. There is a coral museum here, but few people succeed in checking in, and it is closed all year round. It was the B&B owner who took us in to see the living corals. 4⃣️Coral Beach You can go fishing at the beach next to the coral museum, and pick up many beautiful corals on the beach to take home as souvenirs. 🏠Accommodation recommendation: Haitao Coral B&B His house may not have the best environment in the village, but the boss must be the best in the village. The boss would kill a chicken and treat the guests to dinner. If you want to go out for a meal while living at his house, you are not allowed to do so. He will treat you to eight dishes in one night! The owner of the coral museum is on the phone and the curator will open the door for you at any time! Must recommend with full marks!

Drive to the Antarctic Village in mainland China to see the confluence of the Qiongzhou Strait and the Beibu Gulf, and the southernmost lighthouse corner of the mainland. There are not many tourists here, but there are some people who live here for a while in their RVs. Looking at the license plates, most of them are from Hebei and the Northeast.

I stayed here for several days and I particularly liked the atmosphere of the small fishing village. There are no high-end luxury hotels here, everything is so primitive and simple. I really like their slogan "It's already very difficult, it won't be any more difficult" When I first came here, I thought the places for taking photos were all together, but later I found out that I was a little confused because the fishing village was too primitive. The crabs you pick up are made into seafood porridge directly. Tips for playing!: 1 If you are driving, please make sure to go to Shuxia Cafe first and then to Dengloujiao. Dengloujiao is 1 km ahead of the cafe. The road is under construction recently and is a one-way street during the day! Go to Dengloujiao first and then to the coffee shop under the tree. You can only go around in a big circle, or go to the 2nd check-in point on foot. It is recommended to go in the morning. If you go in the afternoon, you will not be able to take pictures of the sea when the tide is low. The water line at the corner of the 3rd lamp building will not appear until the tide goes out, so it is recommended to go there during low tide!
