If you plan to visit Kyoto, I highly recommend the "DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto Station" located near Kyoto Station. This hotel officially opened on March 29, 2024, so everything is very new. It is only about a 5-minute walk from the Hachijo Exit of JR Kyoto Station. Whether it is a business trip or sightseeing, the transportation is extremely convenient. There is a convenience store within a one-minute walk!    Hotel Design and Room Experience DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto Station has a total of 266 rooms, located on the 2nd to 9th floors. The design concept combines Kyoto's traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics. The guest room interiors feature traditional Kyoto elements such as Kiyomizu-yaki ceramics, Kitayama cedar wood, and Japanese-style patterned carpets, creating a warm and local atmosphere. It is particularly worth mentioning that the hotel provides Tatami Executive Suites, allowing guests to experience traditional Japanese style in modern facilities.   Executive Lounge Exclusive Enjoyment Since we have Hilton Gold Card, the front desk upgraded us to the executive floor (7th to 9th floors) or suite, and we also have exclusive access to the executive lounge on the 9th floor. This is the first executive lounge established by the Hilton Garden Inn in Japan. The interior decoration incorporates traditional Kyoto crafts such as bonsai and kumiko art to create a quiet and elegant space. Here, guests can enjoy breakfast, all-day refreshments, and evening cocktail hour while enjoying beautiful views of downtown Kyoto and even watching the Shinkansen trains pass by in the distance. There is construction going on next door so there will be noise in the morning!     Dining facilities The hotel has an all-day dining restaurant "Harvest Kitchen", which offers a variety of dishes that incorporate local ingredients, such as Oyakodon made with Tanba local chicken, and a limited-edition teppanyaki set menu. Kyoto DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel (Kyoto Station) Check-in Experience The second stop of my trip to Kyoto was the Kyoto DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel - Kyoto Station. I checked in as a Diamond member. The hotel is in a great location, just a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station. ✅Soundproofing/Cleanliness: The article does not mention soundproofing, so I assume it is good. The hotel is clean and comfortable. 🏘️️️Room Type/Layout: I couldn't check in early, and the high-floor rooms were full. Although the hotel has executive rooms, I was assigned a premium room on the second floor, but I still enjoyed executive benefits. The room is about 33 square meters, spacious enough for a 28-inch carry-on suitcase. The room has a 2-meter king bed, a clear functional layout, and a separate toilet, shower, bathtub, and sink. When you open the curtains, you can see the road outside. The view from the second floor is limited, but this is understandable for a business hotel. 🛌Supplies/Facilities: The hotel opened in 2024. Although the room doesn't feel particularly new and the carpet is a bit old, the facilities are complete. The hotel lounge is on the 9th floor, and there are several rooms in the lounge area where you can watch the trains coming and going from Kyoto Station. The lounge has an open bar from 17:00 to 19:00 every day. Breakfast is varied, with freshly cooked ramen, rice balls, bread, fruit, and matcha ice cream. Tyoko-DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto Station DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto Station is located 500 meters from Kyoto Station. There is a large shopping mall and an airport bus stop 500 meters away. It is very convenient to go to the surrounding cities. Room: This hotel just opened in 2024. The room is equipped with an air purifier, the facilities are very new, and there is an ice machine on each floor. The executive room is equipped with a Dyson hair dryer and Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries. The bathroom is separated from the wet and dry areas. The price is a bit high because of the peak season. The view outside the window is good and the soundproofing is very good. You can see the Shinkansen passing by downstairs. Japanese hotels and airport lounges are very particular about the quality of their drinks, and this one is no exception. It is worth mentioning that this one also has donuts! They are placed in boxes and look so tempting! The food quality is also very high.

The hotel is in a great location, just a minute's walk from the station exit. The classic Hilton Garden Inn chocolate chip cookies are also provided at check-in. The room was a bit small and the bed was a bit low, but the bathroom was amazing! The bathtub looked small but was actually quite deep, and it was so comfortable to soak in. The hotel also provides yukata, which really made me feel like I was in Kyoto. The hotel also has a large public bath! It wasn't crowded and was very comfortable. The breakfast was a bit average. The main issue was that the dining area was small and there were a lot of people, which was a bit stressful for me as I like to take my time with breakfast. Considering that this hotel is close to many attractions in Kyoto and is good value for money, I would stay here again if I have the chance.
