1. Arrival and View
Early in the morning, we arrived at Fumotoppara Campground in Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture. This is a campground that offers a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji, which is famous in Japan, and is surrounded by vast grasslands. The morning air is cool, and Mt. Fuji can be seen clearly. The contrast between the green of the spreading grassland and the beautiful white of Mt. Fuji is wonderful.
2. Tent setup and preparation
After arriving, the first thing we did was set up our tents. Since we had a spacious space, we were happy to be able to pitch our tents wherever we wanted without worrying about the distance between us and other campers. After pitching the tent, we set up chairs, tables, lanterns, etc. to complete the campsite.
3. Stroll around the area
After setting up the tent, we strolled around the Fumotopara campsite. There was a stream running, and the sound of the water was soothing. There were also many spots to take photos with Mt. Fuji in the background, making it perfect for taking photos. Wild grass and small flowers bloomed in the grasslands, allowing you to feel the beauty of nature.
4. Lunchtime
For lunch, we decided to enjoy a barbecue, a unique experience of camping. We grilled meat and vegetables using ingredients purchased from a local supermarket, and the fragrant smell wafted around us. Eating a meal under the blue sky with friends was especially delicious. Having lunch while looking at Mt. Fuji felt really luxurious.
5. Activities
In the afternoon, we enjoyed activities that brought us into contact with nature. Many people were enjoying kites and frisbees on the grounds, so we decided to give it a try. The breeze was pleasant, and we could enjoy it freely in a large space. There is a small river at the edge of the campsite, where you can enjoy splashing around in the water.
6. Sunset and Mt. Fuji
In the evening, as the sun sets, Mt. Fuji is bathed in the colors of the sunset. This moment is so beautiful that everyone gazes upon it. As the sun sets, the sky changes from moment to moment, creating a fantastic atmosphere. It is so beautiful that it cannot be conveyed in a photograph, and this moment is burned into our memories.
7. Night campfire
As the sun sets, we light the lanterns and start a campfire. We sit around the fire, make some coffee, and take a break. In the silence of the night, all we can hear is the crackling of the bonfire and the sounds of insects. We talk with our friends while looking up at the stars, and our hearts calm down. The starry sky at Fumotopara is surprisingly clear, with countless stars shining that cannot be seen in the city.
8. Conclusion
The next morning, Mt. Fuji appears again with the rising sun, and in the fresh morning air, we begin packing up with a feeling of regret. I was able to refresh myself surrounded by the great outdoors of Fumotoppara and the magnificent view of Mt. Fuji. The Fujinomiya Yakisoba I stopped off for on the way back was also delicious.
Impressions
One night and two days at Fumotoppara Campground. Camping in the great outdoors refreshed my mind and body, and the beauty of Mt. Fuji stayed in my mind. It was a wonderful camping experience that I want to come back to.
