This is a must to visit because of the amazing turquoise clear water inside the cave.So relaxing to see the rock formation at the same time fun to be with family or friends.What you see is what you get so apparently it’s instagramable.We went there in December so I guess the tourists is a lilttle bit less.If you have a budget I suggest to avail your tour to a legit travel agency and ask for guide to take your picture because you only have to pay him what you thin he deserve.#itsmorefuninthephilippines #happynewyear

Instead of joining a package tour, we chartered a private driver for the day and visited all the places we wanted 😏 Driver fee: 3,500 PHP/day + entrance fees (50-150 PHP each) 5:15 AM Depart from Cebu City hotel (Grab taxi arranged) Arrive early to allow time for baggage inspection 5:30 AM Arrive at Cebu Pier 1 Ferry tickets are recommended to be booked online! Green during the rainy season, brown during the dry season 🧐 2:30 PM Python Sanctuary You can wrap a snake around your neck or touch flying squirrels 4:30 PM Hinagdanan Cave Small but you can swim in its beautiful waters 🏊 Note: It closes at 5:00 PM, so plan accordingly! 5:30 PM Takeout from Jollibee 6:00 PM Arrive at Bohol Terminal The last ferry is at 6:30 PM, so online reservations are recommended 6:30 PM Depart Bohol 🚢 Outdoor seats offer beautiful night views, while indoor seats can be chilly due to air conditioning 8:30 PM Arrive in Cebu Many drivers are waiting, but Grab is the safer option! We had an amazing time, but waking up at 4:30 AM was definitely tiring 😮💨 The total cost was around 20,000 PHP for the day! While tours might be cheaper, this self-planned trip allowed us to visit so many places that only a DIY trip can achieve! Feel free to use this as a reference!

Originally, the area was covered with bushes and was not noticeable to people, but it is said that it was discovered by farmers who came to reclaim the area in the 16th century. The farmers built a ladder to easily enter and exit the cave, and it is said that it became 'Hinagdanan' Cave, which means 'ladder'. The cave entrance is quite narrow, and the stairs going down are extremely steep and slippery, so be careful when going down. Fortunately, there is flat ground after coming down the rough stairs. Contrary to expectations that it would be extremely dark and dangerous inside, there are railings and lights here and there, so it was safe and not scary☺️ If you go deep into the cave, you will find a lake inside the cave that was naturally created by groundwater and nearby seawater. Even though the water is deep enough that you can't touch the bottom, the bottom is so clear that you can see it clearly. It's also fun to swim in this natural lake inside the cave. That's why there are always staff members inside the cave who rent out life jackets. You can have such a fun schedule without going far from the island, just by investing a little time in the morning. I highly recommend Hinagdanan Cave as a short tour course in the morning.

#timetotravel To be honest I didn't expect much from this cave but I was surprised with it's beauty. A little cave with but very well maintained especially the water. The rocks in the cave are beautifully formed which also adds to its beauty. We didn't get into the water because of time constraints but if ever we are in Bohol again, I want to swim in the water. Very picturesque and well lit. Entrance: 50 Pesos but if you want to swim then that is with extra charge of 75 pesos. Address: Dauis, Bohol. You can take a tuktuk ride which will cost you 150-300 depending where you are starting but there are a lot of tour packages that will include this in your itinerary. Hinagdanan Cave - in the island of Panglao in Bohol is one of the must visit when you visit the beautiful island. You can join a group tour or hire a local motorcycle to take you there. The cost is less tah $10 per person. Hinagdanan is a small cave with cold crystal clear water where you can get to enjoy swimming during the hot day. You may get to meet new friends, and enjoy playing games while in the water. Enjoy the cave surroundings ans listen to fruitbats residing in the dark sides of the cave. The place have lifeguards that keep an eye on everyone. They have lifejackets available for those who are non-swimmers. The cold-temperate water is awesome to dip in. After spending a couple of hours there, you may enjoy a halo-halo (local ice shave) in young coconuts before heading back to your hotel or proceeding to the beach.
