There was shrimp wonton under the noodles. I ordered spring rolls and custard buns, and everything was delicious. The shrimp wonton was plump and I ate the soup until the very end. The restaurant was spacious and the menu was written in Japanese as well, so it was easy to understand. Coming to Hong Kong is mostly food-motivated for me and I have tried so many of them. Ho Hung Kee is Michelin star rated and located at Causeway Bay, inside Hysan Place. It was easy to find and I can walk in without a reservation. You must like to eat noodles because in Hong Kong, wanton noodles is the most popular dish to order. Their wanton noodles is different from us, they do not have “char siew” in them. #familytrips2024 Have you tried this 1 michelin star restaurant in Hong Kong that's awarded for its famous wanton noodles and congee? If you have not, then I highly recommend you to dine at Ho Hung Kee restaurant for its wallet friendly food. Their wanton noodles is at HK60 and the noodles had a firm texture with great wantons and the soup was light. Their congee was extremely smooth and tasty, which I loved. Other item that I tried was their stir fry beef hor fun, full of wok hey, and their dough fritter chee cheong fun. Overall, it costs less than $100 for a michelin quality meal here and the restaurant has a nice environment. Come to Ho Hung Kee for a nice affordable meal.
