Chiang Mai | Hotel Ping Silhouette
| Hotel Ping Silhouette.—
A niche new Chinese-style hotel in Chiang Mai
Located outside the Old City and Nimmanhaemin
The overall style blends well with Chiang Mai's urban atmosphere
The check-in experience was also quite pleasant
I booked a River Room with twin beds

▫️Unique design: Chinese aesthetics never disappoint. The hotel's overall color scheme is black and white, with many Chinese wooden furnishings. The room doors are not the usual key card or password-activated doors, but rather Chinese double doors with very retro locks.
▫️Comfortable environment: The hotel has a Southeast Asian-style café and restaurant, a swimming pool, and a small lawn, perfect for sunbathing or simply relaxing.
▫️Good layout: This may vary depending on the room type, but I was very satisfied with the layout of my room. As it was the end room, the space felt very large. There was a small entrance area, a Chinese tatami sofa large enough to sleep on, a three-part bathroom with double sinks and a bathtub, and a large balcony connected to the bathtub area.
▫️Fully equipped: The room is equipped with a Dyson fan, which is great for those who can't have the air conditioning on for long periods, as well as a wireless phone charger and the standard Thai hotel refrigerator.

■Average soundproofing: Although there are no streets or bars nearby, and the traffic noise is minimal, the old-style double wooden doors make quite a loud noise when opened and closed. Some guests may not be able to close the door on the first try and will repeatedly open and close it. Also, the wooden doors have some gaps. This design has its pros and cons. The air conditioning is also a bit loud.
■Limited surrounding amenities: I personally value having a 7-11 nearby, and the nearest one is about a seven-minute walk across a bridge. However, there are many popular cafés and restaurants in the area.
