I didn't bring my dog on my previous trips to Jiaxing, but this time I wanted to take my dog around Jiaxing. After being turned away from Meihua Zhou, I found this Jiaxing Botanical Garden, which is super pet-friendly and has large areas of red and white plum blossoms in full bloom! 🌼Jiaxing Botanical Garden is a bit far from the city center, but it's huge and has beautiful seasonal scenery all year round. It's truly a relaxing place! As winter ends and spring approaches, it's naturally the season for plum blossoms to bloom, and the plum blossoms in Jiaxing Botanical Garden are already in full bloom, earlier than most other places. 🌼Half of the plum blossoms in the plum garden are already open. Both the white and red plum blossoms are incredibly beautiful, especially the white ones. When they bloom, they create a sea of white, even more stunning and beautiful than cherry blossoms. It covers a total area of about 106 hectares, with a building area of 3,726 square meters and a greenhouse area of 11,990 square meters. After renovation and upgrading in 2023, the garden has introduced about 105 families, 276 genera, and 960 species of plants, including 13 varieties of Zuili, 124 varieties of roses, 106 varieties of azaleas, 23 varieties of plum blossoms (including 100+ year-old ancient trees), and 50 varieties of hydrangeas. Walking slowly along the bluestone road, deep in the ancient town, the thousand-year-old ginkgo tree stands quietly like a kind old man. Its trunk is thick and solid, as if it carries a thousand years of history and memory. The golden ginkgo leaves hang on the branches, gently swaying in the breeze, like little fans dancing in the air 💃. Standing under the tree, looking up at this ancient ginkgo tree, I seem to travel back a thousand years, seeing the changes of time. Besides the Plum Garden, there are also plum blossoms around the International Pavilion in the International Friendship Garden, which is a good combination of classical architecture and plum blossoms. In addition, next to the Plum Garden, there are the Political Consultative Forest and the Shaya Forest, where a type of sprinkled gold plum blossom can be found, with red spots on white leaves, which looks quite attractive. The Blind's Botanical Garden also has plum blossoms planted, with Braille on the plants that allow the blind to understand plant information through touch. The flowering period of plum blossoms is usually in late February. Affected by the cold wave at the end of last year and the warming temperatures during this year's Spring Festival holiday, this year's plum blossom season is about 10 days earlier, and the best viewing time may continue for another 7-10 days.
